I understand the sentiment in this article. People are fed up of hearing about how great next generation systems are and want to see something tangible. That's why this tech demo has had such an impact.
Games on next generation may not look like this for a couple years, but it at least it shows how next generation games may/can/could look. That being said I do believe fans of both consoles need to remember this tech demo was attempting to show off specific strengths of ...
Hey Ubisoft, how about you show me your game actually running in action before you try and hype me about the season pass content coming out Christmas 2021 or later? Stupid morons.....
I am very disappointed by that AC V “gameplay” trailer. I was hoping for an actual clip of continuous gameplay.
I was hoping for like a 4-5 min walkthrough of a small side quest or something.
I assume the trailer was in engine but it is still highly frustrating not seeing “gameplay”.
Normally, I'd say they'll stick to tradition, but the controller makes me think it might be more unique than we're expecting. I'll hazard a guess though and say it will not look like a refrigerator.
And we are off to the comments. Let’s see what all the experts think!
Love that meme.
I would posit functional over aesthetic due to the rumors about Sony investing in a high end cooling system; however, I’m hoping for both!

I agree. Most of the recent “news” has been speculation or criticism of things we don’t know yet. I assume it’s primarily to stir the pot and get clicks.
That being said I do think the ability of people to be patient has decreased substantially since the advent of smartphones.
Can’t wait to play it!
For Sony I hope to see a couple of things.
1. Combine PS Plus and PS Now into one package and add as many PS1, PS2, and PS3 games to the PS Now service as possible so they have at least digital backwards compatibility. Would also make PS Now a way more attractive option.
2. Keep making AAA exclusives. Would also appreciate a little more diversity in these games such as an FPS or RTS game.
For Microsoft
1. Keep pushing...
I’m not sure it was simply being able to play as a woman per say, but rather (or at least also) the historical revisionism in the story mode, going a bit overboard with the charter design, censoring words and phrases in chat based on race and historical groups.
Oh and that whole don’t like it don’t buy it fiasco. Actually, you could probably find at least ten controversies just with Battlefield 5 : P
I agree. They'll likely be very similar in architecture and performance.
It will be interesting to see how they try and distinguish their platforms from one another outside of exclusive games.
I've found myself having to become more and more particular about what I subscribe to because it's becoming outrageous how much it costs monthly to consume content.
In my opinion it's not the politics people hate in video games......it's the political preaching.
I fully expect Cyberpunk 2077 to have politics in it, but I trust they won't force agendas down my throat, which is why I love CDPR.
No, I don't want to pay for a glorified rental.
Also I don't trust Ubisoft, Activision, and EA are looking out for my best interests.
This. I see no reason not to have them. At this point I think I would find it super weird if I didn't see trophies pop up occasionally.
Also it's nice to go after platinum trophies for games I really enjoy.
They already are an elite developer in my opinion.
However, Cyberpunk 2077 being excellent is important to show a continuation of the Witcher 3 level of quality.
I do wish more open world games would be a bit smaller in scale with more to do.
I would also like to be able to turn off HUDs and be able to rely on say a journal entry and recognizable terrain to be able to find my way more often in games. Sometimes it feels like I'm just following map markers around an not really exploring anything.
