There is actually strong misconception that this is the same game that came out on PSP---This is actually a brand new game set in FF Type-0 universe. It looks brilliantly done.
How was that a troll? They delivered big time and left most FF and KH fans extremely satisfied with the announcements.
If they show a world map with vehicles, Square Enix will win e3 for me. It honestly is that simple.
It actually seems like it *Could* be a very late beta, if it wasn't for the 2003 copyright.. Two things stand out: The fact that the attack button is red (If memory serves me right, it's green in the release build) and also the fact that he can freely access the debug menu. It DOES seem to be beta, but an extremely late one.
Most people let their kids 12 and under play Call of Duty and my theory is that if shooting people in the head doesn't damage kids than neither will them seeing an option to marry the same gender.
Agreed. The simple fact of the matter is, it made every single character useful, when FF usually forces you to narrow down your choices to a few.
He is a dream but he does possess a physical body and does in fact die at the end of FFX. He has a spirit because in the end he's sent to farplane, in order for him to have a spirit he had to be alive---and he was, due to the fayth dreaming to allow him to sustain his life.
God I should know better for making a Feminist comment on a Gaming website but and prepared to be down voted into Hell but..
The reason a lot of people don't get it is because they are Straight White Male gamers, they are very well represents in video games (And pretty much all media), therefore a lot of them don't understand what representation means to minorities.
@Mikeyy
This game just goes to show Linearity in Final Fantasy isn't always neccessarly bad (to a varying degree, most FF's are fairly linear in the first 10-15 hours), it's just that when you do it like FF13, where every environment is a corridor and there's literally nothing to do in the game outside of fight extremely repetitive battles...That the game tends to suffer.
FFX is extremely fun and always introduces new stuff along your way thro...
Final Fantasy hasn't really lost it's touch like some people think, It really just any Final Fantasy directed by Motomu Toriyama. X-2, XIII trilogy, etc. You go play FF14:ARR or FF Type-0 and tell me FF's a hopeless case. Or just look at how amazing XV is turning out. Toriyama's bizare ideas has and remains the problem for the FF franchise.
@Ziggurcat
No I think you're the one who's missing the point. I bought Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD, and I got 2 HD games with all the content + bonus content and it only costed me $40 *Because* remastered games don't require a full Dev-team to work on. No reason at all for these re-releases to cost $60 when It's done by an extremely small staff, possibly only 10-20 people.
For $40, it'd be a lot more 'buyable'. The $60 price point for a last gen game is whats discouraging.
It is one of the best looking HD remasters out there, partially because they put a lot of work into it, and partially because it's visual design was ahead of it's time.
Not entirely bad. Kingdom Heart's combat system is 1 button, minus dodge rolling and jumping, both of which is already confirmed in FFXV. How I expected it to be, really.
If you haven't played the Final Fantasy series yet, This HD Remaster is a perfect place to start. You'll quickly see why this series was once called Legendary.
Oddly enough, despite it's an MMO, it is actually the best Final Fantasy Square Enix has released in years. Possibly since X.
As expected, PS3 is the best place to play.
@Pozzle, sadly, believe it or not, Nojima (the writer) is actually the same man who wrote FF7, 8 and the original 10--and is currently writing FF15.
It's honestly getting very clear that they're wanting to make a X-3. With the majority of X-2's staff having worked on XIII, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what the XIII team is working on, considering the XV/KH team is busy.
Downgrade implies its the same game but less. This is actually an entirely new game continuing the Type-0 Universe.
