I love the fact that Tomb Raider is getting a Re-imaging. I think Lara deserves to star in some of the best games of the generation and unfortunately that wasn't going to be the case. Lets hope this new entry will provide something amazing for us.
I would love to see Resident Evil go back to being primarily focused on the survival horror aspect and totally revamp the controls so you feel vulnerable.
I kind of liked 1 and kind of loved 2. I think that is as far as I go with this franchise. I just put my friends copy of Brotherhood in the PS3 and played the intro and I honestly just don't have the desire to play through any more AC games.
Thanks, I will be sure to see it through.
I will go into further detail as to why I don't think it plays like a traditional MGS. I think the controls being updated so you can shoot over shoulder etc was a perfect decision and was implemented correctly. They made a current gen MGS game for sure.
It is after the 2nd chapter that things started going downhill. There was never that feeling of having to sneak past guards. That was my favourite part of a MGS game. Snapping necks, tranq darting patrolling soldiers and l...
Looks like this was heavily inspired by Uncharted. That isn't a bad thing since drawing inspiration from the current top dog is only going to help in the long run. Heck, Uncharted was inspired by numerous games too. I think this online looks unique enough to NOT simply be dubbed an "uncharted rip-off".
this game wasn't even on my radar... looks like I have just detected the first game of 2012 that I'm interested in.
I have only just got play a Jak and Daxter game. I must say as a lover of platform games I LOVED the first instalment. I have now started to play the 2nd in the series and if I'm going to be honest I am shocked to see how much it pales in comparison to the 1st. I'm only a few hours in and I'm thinking maybe I need to switch my attitude on how I look at the 2nd game and realise it isn't like the 1st game (as much as that bums me out). Does it get better the more you play? Did y...
Love Metal Gear, but I can't help but be disappointed with its direction in recent years. I simply loved the MGS franchise, but MGS4 was a HUGE letdown for me in delivering great stealth based gameplay. Maybe Peace Walker is a return to form, but I have not played much of it and it is the final game I need to finish on the HD collection. Also, I know it is a spin off, but I don't like the looks of MGS Rising.
I don't know... The series is starting to lose some of ...
For one, you just go off on the most pointless rant I have ever seen. All I said is a Female Assassin lead would be epic. Obviously I can see why it wouldn't be suited for THIS game, but what's to say it can't be included in a future AC game? I'm pretty sure we have already seen a FEMALE Assassin in the AC games.
"It seems to me that the gamer community is the only one that doesn't understand that a historical piece has to ummmmm........ be historical...
I think everybody knows how to rate a game from their own personal opinion. Heck, its an opinion so it can't be wrong. you can use any type of scale you want. A simple Thumbs up or Down scale, Bad, Average and Good scale... 1 to 10 and 1-100 etc.
In relation to the article I am fine with how scores are now simply because I am used to it. If fewer games get 9s and 10s and the 6 out of 10 becomes the new 8 out of ten then all you are doing is reviewing things the exact same...
A female assassin lead would be EPIC!
I never said it was a con. Like I said I see it hard to see how they could make it non linear if they chose to (pretty much for the reason you listed just now). I like some linear games... I hardly ever use the word as a negative term. However, I do think it would be a nice change if they did introduce none linear areas into the Gears games too if it was possible to do without ruining the experience. I think Gears is fine as it is... nothing is ruining the experience... would just be interest...
If the games control scheme doesn't work well and they recommend a pad then that is just the way it goes. Sometimes games just can't work with certain controllers. I personally wouldn't like to try and play World of Warcraft or a PC focused RTS game with a Controller because it simply wont work.
That's all there is to it.
And if there was an RTS game that came out with Keyboard support I wouldn't buy a PC I would simply just buy the keyboa...
Not a fan of the series, but this has grabbed my attention.
I have only played AC1 and 2. I have Brotherhood in my room which I have borrowed off a friend, but it looks so similar to Assassins Creed 2 that I don't have the desire to play.
This game however looks interesting with the inclusion of these weapons and I am a tad excited. At the same time I don't want to have to play through Brotherhood and Revelations because I think I will find the series to be wa...
It would be brilliant if Gears could be less linear, but because of how the game plays and how the AI works in these corridor based shooters the only solution I can think of is branching corridors. Instead of following one path you the option to use 3 separate ones and this still doesn't fix the problem (if you want to call it a problem).
I would say an unlockable side campaign along the lines of the Ada story in Resi 4 would be a brilliant addition. Maybe one area of the...
I don't really speak to anyone who has Portal on their trophy list and is frequently active on PSN. My real life friends wouldn't ever dream of buying Portal. Plus, I don't really fancy asking the "strangers" on my friend list to make a new account etc because it's a bit of a pain to be honest.
Just one of those situations, but I will find a way around it when I can be bothered to put in the effort.
I actually owe GAME points because I refunded an item, but spent the points I got for the item before they had a chance to take them off my account.
Shame for GAME to close. I hope all the friends I met whilst working there find new jobs as quickly as possible.
I like trophies. I go for the fun ones and skip the stupid ones. Doesn't bother me either way. I don't want to play Dead Space and only use the plasma cutter for example so I simply refuse to do it. I do however enjoy looking for the hidden Treasures in Uncharted so I attempt to find them all.
I just pick and choose which ones I attempt to obtain. I'm frustrated trying to platinum Portal 2 however because of a certain trophy which requires you to play online with ...
Last Capcom game I bought was Dead Rising 2. I really wanted MVC, but didn't buy it (and its good I didn't since they re-released faster than usual).
I am not going to buy Resi 6 until the re-release hits the bargain bin either. It has to be played, though.
The Halo screens article is already submitted to this site. I just seen it in the 360 section :-S
@TheLastGuardian
I recommend buying Goldeneye or at least playing it if you get the chance. Make sure you get for a relatively cheap price. I hard a brief go and it feels satisfying enough to warrant a purchase at the right price from me.
Move is really under-used. I love wii games such as Metroid, Zelda and Mario where I think the controls really add to the experience. I love how brilliant aiming is on Resident Evil 4 (its actually better than Resident Evil ...
