Fantastic news for Blizzard. I am not really into PC gaming, but it is nice to see some impressive numbers. Blizzard are known for putting out quality titles. All the time spent fine tuning to make sure the quality was as high as possible really paid off.

I will still buy it with or without a new engine. As long as it looks good (which CoD looks decent enough) and is fun (this is where CoD shines for me) then it warrants a purchase. Heck, it is running at 60 frames per second. I would rather them spend time fine tuning and balancing than a whole new engine. I love CoD the way it is.

Sure is. I would love to play that on my PS3. I could just get it for my 360, but I never commit to getting it.

I have hardly played any noteworthy PS3 RPG's and suggestions are more than welcome, but I enjoyed

Demons Souls
Dark Souls
Final Fantasy 13
Skyrim

I think Kingdoms of Amalur is going to have to be purchased.

Here in England it seems my friends are divided in to tow groups. There are those who love FIFA and there are those that love COD. I am with the COD fanboys on this one, but I don't play it all day long and it isn't the only game I play.

It can work with Keyboard and Mouse support for PS3. I think I can remember my friend playing FF11 on his Xbox with a keyboard, but it was a long time ago. I don't see why it wont work in that aspect. Heck, a bundle would be awesome too. However, the battle.net system would be an issue. Also, if Blizzard wanted all gamers across all platforms to be able to play with each other then that will also be a problem.

Technically, it can be done easily, but there are still big re...

I think Call of Duty has me set in the FPS multiplayer department. When it comes to FPS I only need Battlefield and CoD.

Cheers for the opinions. I guess belief is strong that this game can still be amazing. I should just deal with the fact that I am a minority as far as this Final Fantasy Remake situation is concerned.

"Final Fantasy XIII as the "modern gaming" example."

No. I think when looking at Final Fantasy 10 rather than Final Fantasy 13 then you realise that FFX is actually pretty much the perfect blend between Old and New and should be the bench mark in which modern Final Fantasy games should aspire to be. Heck, Final Fantasy 13 wasn't even "that" bad, but not the greatest FF game.

People may want mini games in their experience, but...

Only started playing in the Snes days and I disagree with the whole list. These games are not my personal favourites of each generation and I don't think any of them are THE most influential and well built games. However, they are all fantastic in their own right and have helped shape gaming.

I applaud Mario Galaxy for helping to keep 3D platformers alive.

As a child it seemed as though Final Fantasy was untouchable and just a cut above the rest. The games had a larger than life feel. Obviously my age at the time is part of the reason, but when Final Fantasy 12 was released the "magic" just seemed absent.

Sidequests are what made it a brilliant experience for me mixed in with exploration. Only World of Warcraft (which I don't play any more) and Skyrim have given me a sense of "magic" recently. I need to ...

I agree that current gen systems have a lot left in them for me personally. I do however want the new systems to come out because things do have to progress. Fortunately I have matured a bit and don't have the desire to get things at launch any more and I am very happy with my PS3 so I have full confidence my current consoles can see me through until the new ones get released and the price drops. The sooner the new consoles come out = the better chances the PS3 will keep me entertained un...

Hardly my most anticipated HD collection as I can see why it may feel dated. I heard they also could have done a better job as far as visuals are concerned. These issues aside I can see myself getting this game down the line as I still view the franchise as a great one. I don't really support Capcom anymore, but this game is from an era in which I did support Capcom. Down the line I will pick it up, but there is no way I am paying full price. Hope it doesn't disappoint any of the fans...

No Solid Snake? :-O
As much as people hate the CoD series you gotta admit that Captain Price has some cool facial fuzz going on too.

I think this title has a great shot to do well as far as pleasing the gaming community is concerned. It kind of is the first of its kind on consoles (pushing a great F2P experience from scratch).
I hate to use the term "casuals" since they are gamers too, but for the sake of people understanding me on the internet that's how I have to refer to them. Anyway, the main problem is that casuals mainly take to the games they see on the store shelves. Because this game is F2P a...

My friend is disappointed that he bought Splinter Cell Conviction at launch and didn't like the game at all. The thing he was looking forward to the most was the Ghost Recon beta that the game offered. Years later and no beta. We still joke about it to this day when we see Splinter Cell in his room.
Can't wait for this game and some beta footage. Hopefully I will be able to get hands on with it. It is looking very promising and I really enjoyed both the GRAW titles.

I love how Metal Gear breaks the 4th wall in such creative ways. Having people doubt your ideas to only eat their words years later must be an incredible feeling when accomplished on the scale that Kojima did.

I just don't support Capcom.
I'm not trying to be part of a huge protest and mass boycott. I just simply don't like their antics and shady ways. It doesn't bother me that much if I'm being completely honest since I'm not the biggest Capcom fan in the first place, but I do feel for all the fans who support them and feel betrayed. If a game supports these cheap tactics I simply either don't get the DLC or don't buy the game in the first place. There is no...

2011

Been gaming since the Snes days... maybe I view 2011 the best year because I have really came into my own and am able to appreciate games more than I did back in 1998 when I was still young. I loved MGS, but it probably would have been better playing it fresh with an adult perspective.

but 2011 just offered so much... I really enjoyed 2007 too... look at the releases for last year

I have only played the first game and got close to the end and my save got deleted. I loved it and want to revisit it, but I am hoping for a HD version of the first 2. The other Kingdom Heart games don't really catch my attention apart from the 2nd game (which I really want to try). I would get KH3 if I could play the first 2. Heck, I might even give this game a try if I can play the first 2 :-(

I love COD... I simply don't like MW3 so I don't play it. Heck, I haven't played for months. Its not hard to not play a game you don't like.
