I would fully trust Retro with the Zelda title. No complaints here.
The whole year has been disappointing for me. There has not been any games this year that I have been excited for. I wanted Black Ops 2, but that game turned out awful. 2011 was one of the best years I can remember and the following year has just fell flat. Portal 2, Mortal Kombat, Batman, Uncharted, gears 3, Dark Souls, Skyrim, Dead Space 2, LBP2, Mass Effect 2, Killzone 3, Infamous 2, Deus Ex, Mario 3d Land, Skyward Sword, Rayman Origins, Saints 3, Mario Kart 7,

Resident Evil 4 is amazing and blends together action / horror in the correct way. The atmosphere and tone it sets are quite perfect for the type of game it was trying to be. It was a huge step forward for the series. The series needed a change at the time and I am glad it happened... sort of. I have no issue with Resi4. However, they built on Resident Evil 4 in the wrong way for the sequels. Its funny how its highest point was the beginning of the decline. I still enjoyed Resident Evil 5, th...
I was really excited for Home, but ended up being very disappointed. However, Sony aim to generate profits. For Home to generate profit it has to have people who are interested in it. By the look of it I would say Sony are providing a service that many people enjoy. I see plenty of people enjoying PS Home. So yes, it is good for generating profits, but it is also providing entertainment for many people. it just isn't my thing in its current state.
I would like even more. I would not say no to having more exclusives. However, I think they need to focus on maintaining a certain quality. Many PS exclusives are excellent and they are the reason that my PS3 is my primary console. I don't really think that "quantity" is more important than "quality". Sony are somewhat consistent with their quality, but there is no denying that quite a few exclusives have failed to hit their full potential.
We needed t...
I would love to see some really controversial subject matter included in games. Subject matter that is not for shock value, but included to enhance the experience. I don't particularly care if they include these elements as cut-scenes or as in game commands where you have full control.
I find it very hard to be shocked, offended or insulted by any game, movie or book etc. I know there are many like me who appreciate peoples creations for what they are. The problem is that...
"Third person action-combat game"?
I think it is quite criminal to not cover the fact that it is an RPG. Its quite simply an Action RPG.
1. No. I just don't like the thought of it. Integrating a PVP mode into the game as a zone is the right way to go such as including an arena. A separate menu / mode will just break it up too much for my liking.
2. Hit and miss. A no from me, but I see your point. The pre-set templates are good enough. If you want detailed explanations of an area you can hop on Gamefaq's or something if you need a walkthrough.
3. I agree here. Not that I care much, but...
Screw theatre mode. I got a 76-3 gameplay I wanted to show my friends and it cut out at 50 kills. It was perfect on Blops1, but has sucked since MW3.
Unfortunately, I don't see room for Megaman in today's industry. This has nothing to do with the quality of the games, but people in general are just so fixated on high end blockbuster titles that everything else seems to get wrote off.
However, I do think Megaman would really thrive off the power of digital distribution. I hope to see some digital MM games in the future with high rez character models. It would be amazing.
I just picked it up. Doesn't look like my sort of thing, but the reviews are positive and it was cheap as chips. Once again it shows that trusting review sites actually does pay off for me and I am really enjoying this game. It is fantastic. I recommend you to pick this one up :-)
Children playing violent games is a tough one for me. On one had I can see why they shouldn't play them. On the other hand, I have played violent games all my life. Doom, Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat, GTA1 and many others were all played by me before I hit my teenage years. I bet most people on this site have played violent games before the recommended age.
I turned out fine. Most kids my age had played the same games. Its weird how I don't like kids playing mature ga...
Spreading the Netflix love haha. Obviously the fact that you don't need to pay an additional fee is having positive results on the PS3 Netflix.
I had expectations of only using my PS3 as a console to play physical games on. Netflix is a feature I use along side many others. Its actually replaced my Freeview box in my room. I now basically just stream anything I want when I want it. The PS3 for me is my all in one package. I have PS+ on it, I have built my collection for it, I use the web browser when I can't be bothered going to the PC, watch blu rays on it. It is only natural that it is the console in my house that will have Net...
Haha! I like it! Glad to have brought a little light to your workplace :-)
Journey is easily one of my best experiences this year. There hasn't been much competition this year anyway, but that is beside the point. I don't think it is GOTY if I was to weigh up what I look for in a game and be super critical. I do however think this is the most memorable game of the year for me. I honestly thought Black Ops 2 was going to win my heart this year, but it failed to meet my expectations.
You can never have "too many steam sales" haha :-D
I have only just started gaming on PC and I have to say that Steam has really made me feel valued as a customer. I have just picked up Sine Mora for under £3. I really can't complain. I love it. It is so different going from console marketplaces / stores to this. Between this and PS+ my gaming addiction has become MUCH more affordable.
I recommend Sine Mora, Castle Crashers, Braid and Limbo at those prices. You can't go wrong with Portal 2 and L4D2 at those price...
Well, our store in general is very lacking in comparison to yours. I wish you guys had the same amazing line up of PS+ games as us, but I would trade the IGC's for the store support guys in the States have. We still have no CSGO, no Retro City Rampage, we have been told we are getting Spyro "soon" since the beginning of time and the US store just has so much more additional content such as avatars and such.
The discounts won't be at all impressive anyway. Sleeping Dogs was an amazing price at £16 and under £15 for + members. I doubt any other deal will be as good and surprising as that one. Heck, MoH is on sale for £30 right? I can get it for £20 anyway.
I am just not interested in them at all. I doubt I will be pleasantly surprised like that again. The Sleeping Dogs price was Steam worthy.
