More excited for this than anything I can see coming out of E3 anyways.
They're available DRM-free on GoG for $5 each.
Though you really only need to download FS2, since you can download the enhanced mod versions of FS1 and Silent Threat for free from hard-light.net once you've installed FS2.
And yet despite all this, I'm pretty sure the XBone will sell like hotcakes among the american dudebros.
Sad fact is that MS doesn't give a crap about you if you are reading this. They are targeting the people who only play CoD/Madden/Fifa all year, not the people who actually take the time to read gaming news. Makes me sick but it could probably work.
I don't think I'll be buying any next gen console, at least for a good couple years.
That's pretty much how IGN operates, it'll talk vaguely about how the game makes you care about characters, or about how the combat is 'fast paced and fun', and then blatantly avoid giving us examples where we can judge for ourselves whether we'd find the gameplay fun.
Too often in reviews I see an embelished version of something like "The visuals were cool, and the characters were people I actually cared about". Ok....So what about the visuals w...
I love how 90% of the time IGN is mentioned it's along the lines of "Lol, IGN is short for ignorant", but the second a 10/10 review for an exclusive comes out it's all "See I told you it was good and IGN's review proves it!".
Plus the review is by Colin Moriarty, whose opinions I wouldn't trust with safety scissors. The guy who thought ME3 was a masterpiece including the ending, thought Homefront was a great game, and gave Last Light a 7.2 ...
Yeah, unless your game doesn't have enough widespread appeal to get enough votes on Greenlight. The democratic nature of Greenlight means the most popular games will get onto Steam, but that still rules out a lot of niche titles, experimental games, and developers that don't know how to market their games well.
If Steam was really interested in helping indies, it could just add a separate store called Steam Open or something where there was next to no barrier to entry...
I feel like Greenlight is a terrible idea anyways. Instead of doing the quality assurance themselves they've passed that burden onto to developers, who now have to market their game to have enough votes to get onto steam.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I can't think of a game with more naked muscle men than the Cho Aniki series.
I came expecting to see The Dark Knight jokes being thrown around. I leave disappointed.
I'm torn. It's a space combat game, which is a genre I love to death, but it's also a competitive multiplayer game, which I'm not too fond of.
I hope it does well, but I'm really starved for a good first person space combat game that focuses on single player. I don't really like exploring, trading, or PvP, which is what most recent titles in the genre seem to be focusing on...
That's because you didn't back it. There's been around 9 or so 20-40 minute documentary episodes released since the kickstarter ended.
Double Fine also has multiple teams, so its not like they need to take people off of Broken Age to work on this.
Metro 2033 is still a great game, and I'd still recommend it to anyone. Especially if they want a cheap entry point to the series.
The primary selling point of the Metro series has always been it's atmosphere and it's setting, and both titles are incredible at delivering on them.
Last Light definitely plays better, but gameplay isn't the only thing the Metro series is focused on. If it was I'd probably bitch more about how easy stealth is....
Dear god people Twitter is NOT an accurate source for news! Does this really need to be explained?
Why would I want to get achievements for watching TV anyways? The last thing I'd want would be for my friends to be browsing my achievement list and find out that I've got 100% completion on The Young and the Restless and Maury Povich.
Who needs facts? If Geoff Keighly says he has sources it must be legit!
*Serious Hat* So is it just me or is the gaming media turning into Gawker?
So there's now a rumour that an unconfirmed policy, that is in itself a rumour, might not be adopted?
Thank god there's journalists, else I might've missed this exciting development. Keep up your diligent pursuit of truthiness guys!
I think I'm gonna cry. THIS is passed off as 'journalism'?
Wait, iirc wasn't Godus kickstarted after curiosity was released?
Too bad the only tales game I actually wanted to try was the PS3 version of Vesperia.
Yeah, the Souls series AI has always been a bit wonky, what with enemies jumping off cliffs trying to get to you.
I also hope the fix the physics engine to get rid of those (admittedly hilarious) ragdoll corpses.
