i still dont know why this is under rumor, go to vgchartz and look at how they get there info. its clearly an estimation, im not saying a very good one but its one none the less.

console sales are irrelevent. money is all that matters. wii is the clear winner with billions of profit. the 360 is unclear because of all the other items in there division but its probably at about break even point. the ps3 is the clear loser at this point with it being about 4 billion in the hole. its lost way more money than the ps2 made.
im not feeling it. right now if sony droped the ps3 to $250 then they would start losing money agian, but if the cheap 360 was $99 the division would probably stay profitable.

your right it does include kin and zune. im not sure how much zune lost but kin reportedly lost about $1 billion.
acording to vgchartz alan wake is at .9 million and will finish at 1.5 million. the average game this gen needs just under 500k copies sold to break even. lets say for argumants sake the game cost double the average game to make. that would mean the game only need 100k more units to break even. If alan wake was a flop remedy wouldnt be trying to make a sequel.
if it wasnt on pace for a 2012 release im sure sega would pull out and find a new developer.
i actually dont think it was postponed. days ago randy pitchford(or whatever his name is, head of gearbox) said news was coming very soon. the members over on the gearbox forums thought the game would come out very late 11-mid 12 and thats about what people are still expecting(except very early 12-mid 2012)
i think riddick is best game of 09(other games from 09 i thought riddick was better than Uncharted, mw2, forza 3, halo wars and odst, the only game i might say was as good is borderlands) but i am a huge riddick fan sooo

everyone disagrees with you because n4g is infested with ps3 fanboys. if the ps3 was 5 million ahead of the 360 then they would be all over it. i follow the site and there numbers are close.
they have it selling like 2.3 million on 360. its passed the first 1, 360 version will sell around 3 million lifetime. the ps3 and pc versions combined will sell 1-2 million.

microsoft anounced 8 million shipped ending at about the same time as these charts. so there numbers seam to be spot on to me.

i like edge. they dont throw around 9s and 10s often like most other sites. most other sites will review a game and " this game is good 9/10". to me a 9 is a really great game and most games that get 9s or 10s dont deserve them.
