Many westerners were introduced to Chinese culture through Kung fu movies. I know I was. Shaw brothers and Bruce Lee. It’s not strange to me that white people in France made a kung fu game. I grew up on it too as an American.

It is great. When it opened with a classic Kung fu intro with shadow boxing I knew I was in for a treat. If you are into Shaw bros at all you will love it.
Such an awesome game. I tried my first run yesterday and beat the first boss. It’s going to be difficult but I’m determined.
If you didn’t have strong years in the pandemic years then you are probably not going to make it. Video game makers and publishers not people in general haha. “Netflix is tanking!” No people are going back to work haha.
US parody is the heart of GTA. I don’t think the developers have the heart for it anymore though. It’s not the same rockstar that went to the Supreme Court. Houser even left I believe.
I would like to see them move outside the US but I agree the American parody should continue. Maybe a Japanese American that goes to Tokyo to bury his bigwig grandfather. The American fish out of water angle could be cool. Japan can get pretty goofy too, it’s perfect.

Can you call it review, that’s the focus? It’s more like a preview in my opinion. Somebody’s thoughts on a game they played, there is nothing wrong with that either.
I would like to see GTA move outside of the USA. I don’t think they have the guts to make fun of America anymore even though it has never been easier. There is endless material but I would rather them do somewhere else if they are scared.
You don’t have to finish the game to make a review. I personally wouldn’t hold such a lazy opinion in high esteem.

They bought bungie for the expertise. 33% of the budget on 5 year staff retention makes more sense then buying bungie for one IP.
That purchase goes to securing the weakest part of their game. Online, service and FPS.They have a lot to learn from bungie. It’s why they care more about core staff staying than Destiny exclusivity. Was it worth it? It’s pricey but I think it was a solid defensive move. I like the logic behind it.
I already bought the special edition with a 35 dollar reward certificate from Best Buy. Now I just wonder if it comes on time. Unlike my copy of dying light 2 which was supposed to be here yesterday. They put it in “processing” so I can’t cancel and said I might get it by Feb 18th. I hate Best Buy so much, if it wasn’t for the rewards I wouldn’t touch them.
