I actually have been enjoying gears3 team deathmatch. It's nice how it kind of turns into search and destroy when respawns are depleted.
Oh and I agree battlefield needs to fix the spawn points and then some lag to even be considered for best team deathmatch. It's so frustrating that when I spawn I get shot in the back within the first 3 seconds.
Hell yeah I can't wait for new maps. Being free is a big plus because it won't split the fanbase.
I didn't hear one mention of batman being called the greatest current gen game or one of the best games of all time. I heard several for uncharted. Batman is a great game but the reason its receiving perfect scores it because it improved on the first one so much and because its the best super hero game.
Having played all the uncharted games and all gears games I was never into the multiplayer. So I figured I payed 60 for gears3 might as well give online a shot, at least get to rank 20. I was hooked after that. Popped in uncharted 2 played online and I was like shit, I had the game for yrs and missed out on it, I had fun online. I can't say which one is better because I like each for certain reasons. I'm definitely looking forward to uncharted 3 multiplayer now. Give each game a shot....

I like gears its was a great game with good online. But honestly.its just holding me over until uncharted drops. I've been looking forward to uncharted 3 since I finished 2.
Oh and about this review bias, every site or magazine has good and shitty reviewers and that's where the inconsistencies come from. Everybody is biased to a certain extend, variables are genres, what system its on, popularity, and a bunch more.
I have friends that are like that too. I've noticed its mostly the older guys that appreciate the looks and scenery. Nothing wrong with it, everybody has a preferance.
I got a buddy who refuses to watch stuff on tv if its not hd, I could care less.
Gameplay/story/online/graphics
While I appreciate good graphics I never cared for them. I can go back and play old games with no problem. Even played cod for the Wii at my girls house and didn't mind the graphics. As long as I'm having fun and the controls are good I'm happy. Not once have I bought a game just because it looked good. I always watch gameplay videos and search for issues when deciding.

Fuck zipper for screwing this game up, I got rid of this tps/fps inbred piece of crap two weeks after I got it. Was indenial about it sucking at first but there's no hope for this, its just not as good as other offerings. So they split the fanbase and now they wanna bring back demolition, this won't save the game.
I can't wait to play this. Too much crap going on for me now though. I decided to stick with uncharted 3 and leave it at that until black friday, then maybe get some deals.
Well I clearly remember the old ratchet and clank commercials they were awesome and promoted the game well. Look them up on YouTube. Sony only advertises like two of their top games nowadays and even those advertisements are usually not informative about the game or don't make the game look good.
I love ratchet and clank and this one was completely of my radar. That means Sony is fucking up. Market your damn games!

i was caught in the hype and bought it. I was already pissed about no reviews being out which I wish I would have waited for. Its not really open world and there is no story. You are just an errand boy doing stuff for people. Wasnt blown away by the graphics or detail. I liked some of the backgrounds like the pile of bodies in the first hideout and the skulls but everything has shitty textures and seems 2d when you got up close.
I ended up selling on craiglist.
I would love one too, I specifically want one with a clutch and manual shifter. I know I'm picky, I honestly dont even know if they have that. I think I do remember seeing it a long time ago.
well is it really realistic to aim down the sights when you are 5 feet from someone. I dont think so. This reminds me of the old socom. sights are for distance shots. I dont think people run around, stop, aim down sights, then shoot at a target thats close.
I'he noticed it too. It's not that bad and you can get used to it but it is a small annoyance.
