Completely agree with you. However, I like the 3ds but I am waiting for them to release a revised version with dual sticks so I can play games like resident evil and mgs with ease.

It's really hard for me to rank the first 3 because I played them all when they first released and have fond memories of me and my cousin beating those games. Nostalgia does have a lot to do with but I still play then from time to time.
The remake was just terrific. That is what I always imagined resident evil being like. I would probably say thats the best remake in video game history.

Wtf hardly any good games from the 90s. First of all fuck resident evil 4, it was a good game but damn its no where near the best. First 3 were better games in every way but graphics and controls, but tech was limited.
Where the hell are the mega man games? So many games left out from powerstone, dino crisis, to ghosts and goblins.
My personal favorite was the remake of the first. The graphics were amazing and they kept everything great about the first one and added more to make it even better.

I cant wait to pick this up. Besides the vita and uncharted this is my most anticipated game the first 3 months this year.
I think ill just wait for tekken x street fighter. I'm pretty sure Namco won't release a super and ultimate version.
Honestly the only doom I really liked was the first doom because it was great for its time and there was nothing like it. The others were just ok.
Ya seriously I hope its pushed back. Release it November 2013 for next gen systems.
Unfortunatly this won't happen due to the huge user base of the ps3 and 360 they will be guaranteed more sales for probably less effort then programing for new hardware.
Ratchet and clank future tools of destruction and crack in time are probably in my top 10 favorite games this gen. As great as Mario galaxy gameplay was I thought ratchet was a lot better and most definitely more fun.
Mr x was definitely a surprise the second time I played through re2.
Another good moment was when nemesis jumps through the window in the police station and I thought why not just run through the door to avoid him and save ammo. Little did I know he comes after you and busts through the door.
Can't believe not one socom map was on there. How about crossroads, desert glory, frostfire, fishhook, enowapi, nightstalker. Socom series had a lot of classic maps.
Gears 1-3 had better co op.

You played the worst one of the main entries.
If you have a gamecube or wii get zero and the remake to 1. They still look insanely good and the story and atmosphere is amazing. Id also pick up part 2 and nemesis as well if you dont mind playing older games. For their time they were great games and still are today, to me at least.
This game looks awful. The combat and enemy AI is horrible.
You do have a point and I agree for the most part. Although the people who enjoyed them in the past would still appreciate them, I know I do. You are right though I can't see a new following for the socoms series. I actually enjoyed tribes as well.
Resident evil for its time did a fantastic job at building suspense because you heard the zombie sounds but didn't know around which corner they were. Playing with Chris was the way to go because Jill was a bit over powered.
I wish someone would make a game with a mix of resident evil and amnesia. I don't like being completely helpless like in amnesia but did like the atmosphere and hiding aspect.
Amnesia is good, siren and fatal frame are great horror games as well.
