"If the next round of gpus from nvidia doesn't max crysis ( 60 frames @ 1080p in dx10 on very high) then I won't buy one at all as it would be a waste, but I don't feel pressure to upgrade because every other game will run fine"
It Won't...unless in SLI. Even the 5970 does not run Crysis or Crysis Warhead at 60 frames at Enthusiast level with EVERYTHING maxed out. And I mean everything MAXED at 1900 and above resolution. It comes close at HIGH levels just hitting under ...
And since no one has seen a Fermi GPU ut and seen REAL benchmarks...how do you know it will "steamroll" ATI's cards?
What's the normal difference in speed these days between high end GPU's from both companies/
ABout 10%+ in general....
"ati's real re-design 6000 series won't be out until late 2011, and by then nvidia will have steamrolled ati yet again"
And you know this how? It seems ATI is the one steam rolling Nvidia by large margins right now. By the time Fermi comes out ATI will have some sort of refresh 5000 series card. Regardless the speed difference FOR GAMING between these cards will not be GREAT...just like past generations.
You don't think Apple is not working on the next OS also? LOL
They are.
@Saaking
Hmmm. MS made more profit then Sony this year...by a massive margin.
Win7 is great. The Zune HD on a technical level is suprior to the ipod touch. Xbox360 despite your rampant hate for it, is doing really well. Game sales for that system is better then the PS3 overall.
Ya...MS this year was a train wreck....
If MS was a train wreck then Sony was a complete disaster then as their overall sales for ALL their divsions compared to MS pales in comparison. <...
This game is actually getting great reviews. Mid 90's.
@jcgamer
The game is actually getting great reviews (94) for such a "shoddy game" as you call it.
I am assuming if the roles were reversed and the PS3 had the better version, you would most likely not be aying it was a "shoddy" game
It's about money. It takes longer to port a game to the PS3 with quality so in most cases 3rd party companies that are not getting funded by Sony won't put in the effort. It's simple business.
Exactly...its amazing how so many people actually do not read these articles. LOL
@dchalfont
You hit the nail on the head.
Almost ALL PS3, XBOX360 games run under 60fps so you won't be seeing too many 3D games of Uncharted, Gears, KZ2, caliber anytime soon.
EXACTLY
The only people saying XBL was a ripoff were Sony fanboys not even HAVING XBL.
Go figure.
Hypocrisy for fanboys FROM ALL CAMPS is quite fun.
And just remember all those who bashed XBL fees..........
So MGS series is not milked?
Final Fantasy on the PS3 not milked?
How many games on the PS format with sequels have been "milked"
Dude you're a fanboy plain and simple. Grow up
The Cryengine has no equal in regards to visuals and physics and destructible enviroments.
I just get the feeling that the console versions will be gimped because lack of memory and GPU power
Good points Reburn ;)
Too Expensive to be mainstream ESPECIALLY for people who purchased a HD TV LCD set just last year or earlier for $1400+ that's NOT 120hz or more.
I will not bsh Natal, The wand from Sony or any other piece of new tech I NEVER TRIED.
I will give it a chance...unlike many people on this site.
Natal could be great and innovative for games. No one knows as of yet. Give it a chance. Many people on this site calling themselves GAMERS bash ANYTHING that is not their "girl friend"(console) of choice.
Most JRPG's are very linear. Japanese gamers in general appeal towards this.
The issue rises with games like Oblivion and Mass Effect that are not going in that full linear direction.
So when you play those games then come back to the JRPG's, it seems very old school in gameplay.
Please release these cards....ATI has no competition at the moment.
