Actually today's CPU's for the PC is far more powerful then the PS3 cell for gaming.
People cared about it when it was available for the system they bought. Once it went, they no longer cared......

That's the irony. The 8800GTX for example is YEARS OLD and easily outperforms the PS3 and Xbox360. The new 5770 ATI card can be bought for under $150 and the 5750 can be bought for $100 now and those ATI cards support DX11 and are faster then the PS3/XBOX360.
By next year those cards will be under $100
And you know this because.........you can see into the future?

With the chagning GPU and CPU enviroment, PC's always evolve into more powerful systems and the last generation hardware becomes even cheaper....which is still more powerful then the consoles offerings.
PC game development is FAR easier then console game development.

With hardware prices for PC's dropping like stones and DX11 coming out, PC gaming is here to stay.
Natal has potential sowe have to wait to see ho wit turnsout. One thing is for sure, MS is putting big money and marketing behind it so it won't be a mall launch or forgotten like the Eye Toy
Both companies will have great a great year in 2010. Both consoles are coming out with great games.

JRPG's that are linear are old school IMO. Playing an RPG that gives you freedom spoils you when you start playing JRPG's again.
If anyone was expecting the console verson of this upcoming game to be the same as the PC version will be greatly disappointed.

Odd. Last Generation the PS2 was the system with "dated hardware"
and one could imagine if they put FF12 on the Xbox1 how much better it would have been.

Besides. FF series IMO is old school compared to games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 and Mass Effect.
You can buy a new GPU that is under $150 that will play 90% of games at high detail and look better then the Console version OF THAT SAME GAME.
The argument that PC's have to cost THOUSANDS to play games is foolish.
