It wasnt a massive improvement no but it did have a lot of stuff that was a nice tell. Such as water effects, the 2 Pass lighting system (hence the jaggies). I think bungie focussed more heavily on features when bringing out Halo 3 over graphical showing. I can think of very few console games that can state the number of modes, abilities and size that halo does but i do hope since they now know how to program features such as theatre mode and forge that Reach is their graphical step forward. ...
Im currently on a game design course and close to half the people on the course can create stuff that looks just as good as this. The art to been a good model and texture artist is the ability to get it to run in an engine.
Well done on the good work no doubt it is very nice but please people above me don't take this as a sign of bungie's inability to create great art as bungie have to work in engine.
resistance is a little dated so i wouldnt be suprised if some killzone engine tech makes its way over there for the next release.
same boat as post 1, looks cool but i know Microsoft arent too good with MMO and the Xbox
this looks good, i like the characters agility and the weapon at the start sounds powerfull. cant tell if the graphics are KZ2 quality as rumoured but i like the colour pallet and what i can see of the art style. im keeping an eye on this one =D EDIT: i like the camera movement too, doesnt seem overly shakey or static
Both games have real water geometry and both have great reactions with bullets and objects. The problem i have with the Uncharted water is that it was always the same color. jungle streams would be completely see through.
but being popular does mean the game has been in the hands of millions of people and does mean it will be remembered for that reason. I didn't say it would be remembered for quality. But hours played online for a console game, Halo does get credit there
you honestly believe that any console game beats Crysis graphics on any level.
Only one valid argument would be art style but the crysis water is extremely good looking.
no way is Halo the best series of games of all time but your a fool if you dont think people will remember them as been up there with the others cos it is an extremely popular series.
1. Cross game chat
2. Matchmaking servers for every game that will be there till the end of the xbox not till the dev decides when to take them down (excluding EA)
3. Inside Xbox, i guess im paying their wages and i think inside Xbox is a great addition to Xbox Live. Gives me news update and developer interviews from every game show and they ae all there on my xbox, no download
4. XBL integration everywhere throughout the NXE, rather than just in the sto...
With the iphone you pay O2 or another provider money to use their network to access things such as the internet or make texts or phone calls. This is what I see Microsoft doing here, they have made a custom built version of these sites and are charging the customer to use the xbox live network to access these assets.
But this analogy doesn’t make it right, I am a gold member and will be receiving these features when they come about but I do believe that these features should b...
and im extremely impressed, im yet to have one issue with it doing anything. Im using most of the time now
i believe will be Microsfts year. Natal will make 2010 Microsfts year (if companys can own a year that is) as they are heavily behind it and i know the xbox community cannot wait to see how it will work and what games they will have.
And here’s why,
Microsoft’s Natal will work as the product is been designed for full xbox implementation. It will be used to navigate the NXE and play films without a remote (hold up two fingers to pause and one to play etc) to playing family friendly games without a controller and enhancing hardcore games by using it alongside a controller.
Sony’s wands will work as they are a naturally imaginative company with great first party devs. The wand will not be as wid...
very promising interview, lets hope we see all these ideas in action
small 20-30 man team for only a year working with the old halo 3 engine which is largely a throw back to halo 2 engine but heavily modded. Dont worry large amounts of that cash they earned went too buying thier freedom from M$ and now towards the Halo reach engine which will use non of the components of the Halo 3 engine.
<3 bungie
that is a strange move by M$, why the price raise? Cover costs of a cheaper elite? possibly trying to get people to buy the elite system over the arcade by making the price gap smaller. Why just not drop the arcade if that were the goal? maybe its just the whole euro thing. Still if anyone is looking to buy and Xbox they shouldnt pick up the arcade anyway, its great for family but if you really wanna game a lot buy the elite.
if there is a demo on PS3 that makes my above point moot. All i can say is ossum and ill be downloading both =D
its to do with Sony and server support. Because PSN is free they dont have their own servers to run demos and such so its up to the dev too pay for external servers to run the demo online. I doubt it will effect sales hugely as capcom ill probably gain and lose a similar amount of interest with the demo (unless its really good) but we'll see.
The PS3 wands work in a very similar way to the Nintendo Wii except more accurate. The PS3 has Very good visuals so the statement that the PS3 is the Wii HD is actually very true. And @1 you can have a pad in your hand to use natal, its the one you have now except you can get all the extra depth that cant be done with buttons now with your body. Controller free doesn't work for hardcore gamers and that's why you wont see many shooters that don't need a pad, instead you will see shooters that ...
