but it does pull away from the character a lot from the videos ive seen. Lots of camera pans and slow-mo scenes to get the film feel.

This is Bungie's swan song in the Halo universe and there is no way they will get it wrong, it's their baby after all (their own words).
All the previews have been positive, reports of how great it looks in motion (let alone the screens) along with the size and scope the team are aiming for is truely for me astounding. Its one thing to make a game look pretty but its a whole other beast when you add the size of map Reach is going for, co-op, huge numbers of Ai, vehicles, customization ...

We are comparing a main characters polygon model to a foot soldier who will have a non part in Halo. Compare an actual central character of Halo to Rico. Oh and the whole kZ2 light stuff, it is pre-baked BTW not real time. Halo's lighting is real time... just saying dont burn.

and nobody I know who plays halo on a regular basis likes it either. It's one of those mechanics that you dont really care if it's present or not, I didn't miss it in ODST and im sure I wont miss it in Reach. I'll just walk up to two SMG's one day and realise I cant do it and walk away without really caring.

It shouldn't be long till it makes an appearance on PSN as it's a very good game and i'm sure they want as many people playing it as soon as possible.

Both these companies are aiming for the same target and both have got very similar strategies. A good list of exclusives a mix of both sequels and new IP's, some console exclusive content in the form of maps and characters, some new tech to appeal to a new audience (pushing their way into the wii territory) and both will surely have their own additions of VOD, music and game services like 1v100, Home, iPlayer and Skyplayer. Truthfully the coming year is very bright for both these guys and I d...

BFBC1's campaign was a pretty basic affair with some really bad jokes. Its a lot less canned then most FPS games like COD so it tends to leave less of an impression without lots of perfectly framed explosions and slow-mo scenes. My one hope (I don't know if this has been covered yet) is the presence of a CO-OP campaign. BFBC1 lent itself so well to CO-OP it was shocking it never turned up in DLC. The one thing that makes sandbox FPS games so fun is the CO-OP and its kinda proved with Halo and...

If I had the spare cash to buy the iPad I would get one. It's cool and I would happily use it to read books and browse the internet and even some of the word editing and note stuff but its not really a very practical device if you want mass's of functionality. Its great at what it does but doesn't do enough for me to justify me handing over the cash yet.

go back a few month to around September or October and every Natal, PSWands and Wii motion related article was filled with some hatred of motion controls. Things seem to be looking up for N4G as you all seem to have some great ideas and enthusiasm for motion control now

I wouldn't say nobody was impressed, in fact the media and awarding bodies went crazy over the tech as you just said so it must of impressed somebody or did the awards and the press just coincidently happen. I will however agree that Natal has yet to deliver on its promise (Because its due for release Late 2010), the question you have to ask is does natal merit the hype it gets if what it has promised comes true and the technology works as well as proposed? Remember hype usually comes before ...

Its difficult to say if something is being hyped unless you see what the device is capable of. So far we have seen tech demo's on a 1 year old unit with software 1 year away from launch and a supposedly leaked half life 2 video. The idea behind the technology is solid and has definitely inspired a lot of devs and has generated a lot of support. If it works as well as promised (I personally think it will) then id say no it hasn't been over hyped. A full 3D motion capture unit for my living roo...

I wouldn't say boggles the mind when referring to home. There is yet to be one thing in there that justify s walking around virtual shopping centres and travelling around a virtual map to play minigames. Home will be great when all the trophy, video, music and photo sharing stuff takes off in your apartment but even then why not just let us do it through a menu. No doubt home has improved since launch but I cant yet see why I would make regular visits to a fake world that's exactly like the o...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HOW OLD ARE YOU PEOPLE!?!?!?!?!? seriously?

5899d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

There is so little difference between the release versions of the games we have to fight over who's promotional crap is better. Neither the Home space nor the XBL avatar pet mean anything. They're virtual items people!!!!!!

maybe since its not directly related to the playstation brand it could be used for TV lines where you can change channel and play interactive tv. Kinda cool

The story campaign will be much better on MW2 if BFBC1 story is any reflection to the second but the online for me with Battlefield will always be better. Its larger more varied and it looks much nicer and not to mention the great audio engine at work within battlefield.

geez well thats ruined the game, it has some slightly off torch effect at a distance from a june build

5953d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

colour me impressed, its great to see one long coherent play through rather than the small snippets we get from trailers because it really brings it alive when you get the steady progression in atmosphere. I am really liking this game and it feels really well polished even back in June so I cant wait to get. I won't say GOTY but I will say its in with a shot from just this small video.

i see next to no difference in the versions apart from the snow level where the contrast looks a little high on one of the two. What this has shown me though is that this game is pretty ugly =[
