I was a hard core CS 1.3 gamer. The PC has always been my preferred platform. With that being said, I prefer my PS3 over my 360. Why? Simple. I hate Halo. I hated it when it came out for the original Xbox. I didn't enjoy Halo 3. I played halfway through the single player and LOATHED multiplayer because it was a boring fragfest.
Since you're such a CS gamer you should know most CS gamers turn their nose up to the Halo franchise because it's so different.

Not because of RROD (though I did have that once on my original and had it repaired) but because the a'holes at Microsoft didn't give the original 360 pro (my first 360) and HDMI input. I had that for about a year and when I got my new LG 1080P LCD I had to go out and buy another 360, an Arcade, that had the HDMI.
The bottom line is the PS3 is only about 6 - 7 million behind and it was released a year later. We're going on PS3s 3rd year and the 360s 4th. The PS3 is AHEAD of schedule if you take the 360s numbers at the same time in it's upcoming 3rd year.
Make no mistake about it, that extra year was BRILLIANT by Microsoft because it allowed the 360 to get a big lead that will probably never be caught.
I have a 360, bought it first because I wanted to wait until the PS3 came down from 600 bucks. Then I bought a PS3. I also have a gaming PC with an i7 processor and a GTX 285 with 6 gig of ram. I have every gaming device I want.
I don't have a Wii because, guess what, I don't want one (until the new Metroid comes out, then I will buy one).

...is that WORLDWIDE the PS3 has actually sold MORE than the 360 in the same time period. The 360 is well ahead but that's because of the year head start they got. If you take away that year the PS3 has sold at a faster pace.

I think a lot of video gamers are going to end up getting hurt in the long run by this if it's as big as some people think it's going to be.
Fanboys from ALL sides laugh now (I'm not a fanboy, I may like PC gaming the most but I also love my 360 and PS3) but I doubt they'll be laughing when they stop seeing as many hardcore games for their favorite systems.

How many of you are going to HONESTLY buy the NATAL and use it more than your 360 controller and games you have been playing for the last 4 years (the Halos, Gears, Fable's, GTAs etc).

...since you're in Europe you may want to shut up about what Europe likes because Europe is the single biggest fan of Gran Turismo. It is their best selling game and when a new Gran Turismo game comes out in Europe it is an event. No other continent goes as nuts as Europe for Gran Turismo.
So I'm not sure why you're downplaying the game next to Forza in regards to Europe because, quite frankly, you're wrong.
The reason I don't buy older games when they come down in price is because there's always something else to play by that time, new and refreshing.
There are plenty of games I NEVER would have bought had I not had a trade in. These are usually games I'm only mildly interested in.
If we ever go fully digital and I cannot trade in games, I will probably end up buying only half the games I used to and I guarantee you there are plenty of other gamers who feel the same way.
If you're going to say I'm wrong about something please actually stay in the same stratosphere of what I was saying.
