I feel like I've already bought the game. DLC like GTA is worth it. That is wholly new content.
DLC like a 10 pack of cars is bullcrap. This is simply stuff the developers kept out of the original game so that they could slap "DLC" on it a few months later and make some extra bucks.
DLC like THIS (not GTA DLC) is everything that is wrong with gaming nowadays.
Then apparently Forza 3, a racing game, is one of the 10 best games of all time (if you go buy gamerankings and metacritic at all) since Gamespot also gave Uncharted 2 a 9.5 and it is top 10 on both those sites.
OK....gotcha.
It wasn't the score they were complaining about, it was the reasoning behind the score.
Fanboys and fanGIRLS across ALL platforms are only hurting themselves anyway. Every true gamer should own a PC, 360 and PS3 because if they are missing one of those platforms they are missing out on some truly great games.
So Slippy, you are telling me if I go to hard mode I can earn cars the old fashioned way and unlock them as I go along?
THAT is the part I don't like and made that quite clear.
Now Forza 3 comes out. Sad. So sad.
The reviewers complain about games being too easy. They praise Demon's Souls for being so hard. Then they praise a sim racer when all cars are unlocked from the start and it has things like a rewind. What?
Sorry, but while this game may be the second coming for noob racing fans and people with little skill in racers, this is NOT a good thing for die hard sim racing fans who ENJOY the sense of accomplishment as they unlock cars...
What I don't get is Geoff Keighley HIMSELF said the metacritic for Uncharted 2 was 98 (at the time) and how deserved that score was...yet his web site gives it a 9.3?
WTF is that all about?
I quote...

Baxy-Z was founded by Calum Martin and Myles Harris on December 28th 2008. The success of the Xbox and general interest we had for the gaming industry was what brought us both to go ahead and make the website. Myself and Myles both worked for Nintendo fansite, Nintencast so we both have plenty of experience and knowledge at our disposal to give you the best possible articles."
Morons.
Just on principle alone I'll find a torrent for Modern Warfare 2 if they're going to pull this crap. I hope many others do the same and Activision loses millions. I'm really starting to hate this company. Are they TRYING to become the most hated gaming company out there or does it just come naturally to them?
...is the day I start pirating. I've never done it before but I refuse to pay that much for a game. That's a 50% markup.
The ending when Eli Vance is killed kinda got to me. I mean, you'd known the guy in every game and I liked his character a lot. Watching him die that way was nasty.
You guys do realize what he has done is start a conspiracy theory about the Jews murdering Michael Jackson, right?
"Zionist" is a racist term for Jewish people.
Do we really have that many filthy racists on this message board?
...so is OJ.
'Nuff said?
Thanks for the head's up! Too bad your post came late to the story since most won't read it now =/

Especially note the claim which is quoted "According to the report, Activision paid USD 500 million in royalties to Sony last year which, "probably still worked out at 400 per cent of the profit they made"."
500 million is 400 percent of 125 million. Profit, according to any accountant, is AFTER the co...
If there's one thing I can't stand it's "couch experts" who think they know what the hell they are talking about.
Sony, as an entity, owns the rights to so much stuff Activision publishes (from some super hero games to some music that is under Sony Music Entertainment in the Guitar Hero games) that if Activision EVER pulled out, Sony could also pull out and screw them a million ways sideways.
On top of that, around 40% of Activision's revenue from last ye...
...that's why I said most don't. I personally don't have any friends with a library of DVDs or Blu Rays, but that's just me.
As far as DD, I honestly enjoy going to the video store. It's just down the street and I like looking at all the new stuff. On top of that I'd hate to get into the habit of downloading many gigs of stuff because when the crap finally hits the fan and ISPs start charging for usage instead of flat rate, I think a lot of people are going to be hit hard.
Most people don't BUY their dvds or blu rays, the RENT them.
Just late last year the Blu Ray wall at my local blockbuster was one rack (holds about 300 movies or so). Now the wall is about 5 racks new release alone and it takes up about a sixth of the total new release wall.
Like I said, I don't know many people who buy this stuff anymore. The poll is misleading in my eyes. The simple FACT is chains like blockbuster ONLY put out space that will sell. They aren'...
...is if you look at Metacritic, these guys are so far beneath the rest of the reviews that often you need to wonder who they are and what types of games DO they like.
I don't think Prototype is the best game ever made but it's definitely a good game. I enjoy both it AND Infamous. I could respect the review more if it wasn't so far beneath everyone else. I mean, even the very hard to impress Eurogamer gave Prototype a 7, didn't they?
...and eventually you'll find yourself with one bubble.
I mean gee, didn't they just say a game with such little originality as Uncharted 2 could never expect a higher score than 9.2...and then they give MW2 a 9.5?
I swear to God gaming journalism has hit a new all time low.
