MGS4 is a narrative trainwreck - bad storytelling and well..bad story in general. Using hours and hours of cutscenes is not good storytelling. Also, most of the cutscenes are too drawn out, vague, filled with repetitive & cheesy dialogue and boring as hell. The story is awful - poorly paced, terribad plot-twists, and lol worthy drama.
Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 do a waaaaayyy better job telling its story.

I played the demo, and I thought it was awful. The enemies (excluding the bosses) don't even hit you. I stood still for 10 seconds, and nobody attacked me. Combat was boring too. Just button smash your way.
Fatal Frame is a great series. 2 is the scariest game I've played. I think the series could've been a whole lot scarier if most of the forced ghosts encounters appeared in real-time instead of cutscenes - you know, catching you by surprise. Oh well, at least it has random ghost encounters.
I'm bummed Fatal Frame 4 was unreleased in America. The new FF better make it here.
Fable 3 got a big increase in pre-order. Solid numbers for F3.
GT5 pre-order numbers are pretty sad, especially considering that its predecessors sold like 10 million. Also, Kinect Adventures is right behind it.
Agreed Bigpappy. I think this and Ubisoft's Your Shape Fitness game can be huge hits if marketed correctly.

What? How did Fallout 3 flop? It won a lot of awards, got excellent reviews and sold great.
Fallout 3 is one of the best RPGs I've played this gen. This game immersed me to its world. Can't wait for New Vegas.
Pretty much agree, judging from the demo. Camera controls are awful, navigating through menus is a hassle, and gameplay is lacking & repetitive. Just slash, pick up loot and move on to the next (similar) section. Nothing changes.
I agree. Cecil, Terra and Zidane are better.

So basically, you're saying the monkey drinking a can of soda was relevant to the plot. Same goes for the wedding (I did not buy the romance between Akiba and Meryl, nor did I care), Akiba crapping himself, the forced adverts/videos at the beginning, Sunny cooking eggs, etc.
