There is no trophy for beating the game on the Japanese version, but there is one trophy for picking up an energy pill in the Japanese version. When you create a game, it'll give you the option to play the American or Japanese version of the game (local or online).
The one thing I hate about this game is the unlimited lives/continues. It doesn't force you to play smartly; there are no penalties for dying. When you continue, you get all your mutant powers back, and online is just that: mutant spamming. It takes out all the fun and challenge out of the game.
And yes, $10 is too much for this game.
Same. The game bored the hell out of me. The Bonnie ranch work missions were lame like herding cows. There's basically no exploration in RDR. No caves, no tunnels, etc. It's just a dull desert. Every town has the same things: poker, movies, etc. There's no point in traveling to another city.
Every mission has you riding your horse for five minutes towards your destination. Nothing interesting happens while you're en route. Hunting animals is boring because the...
"Ayumi Hamasaki will sing the game’s theme song"
Best theme song confirmed! You can't do no wrong with Ayu's beautiful, angelic voice.
B-b-b-but GT5!!
Kinect won't push consoles.
Eat it droids.
The gap wasn't as big as this one though.
Looks like some gamers were dissatisfied with Star Ocean 4 and Fist of the North Star. Not surprised as those games were terrible.
Nice to see they enjoyed NieR. The game came off as a surprise to me; it's a pretty good game.
"Enemies kill you off screen? have you played Ninja Gaiden 2?"
At least you can control the camera and see them. And what's so satisfying about pressing box, box, box and more box? Sure you can throw in the occasional dagger.
Half the game is filler, and the fact that it takes the story serious is hilarious.
LoS = most overrated game of the year.
I agree with this review. Castlevania: LoS is a terrible game. God of War 3, Bayonetta and even Dante's Inferno are better. LoS's combat isn't satisfying at all.
No camera control is annoying, since the enemies that are off-screen can attack you and kill you. The story is boring and poorly delivered/written. Patrick Stewart's overdramatic voice might sway you into thinking the story is good, but it isn't.
Mr. Smith, you forgot the dodgy collision detection, awkward gun controls, and the trial-and-error gameplay.
360's cover is ass (no pun intended). PS3's cover is miles better.
Thing is, Kotaku, Destructoid and Joystiq (not sure about this one) don't call themselves professionals. Kotaku admitted that its site is a blog. Same with Destructoid. That's their style of delivering news: sarcastic, hilarious, etc. If you want professionalism, go to IGN or GameSpot.

1. "You can create your own custom playlist of any music you want through USB. So I guess all music is bad?"
They're talking about the music that was included in the game obviously. Yes, custom playlist is the solution, but not everyone knows about this feature nor do they know how to copy music to the PS3 (I'm serious). Is My Chemical Romance the intro music? I saw an article that it was, but hopefully someone can confirm this? If it is, then I can see why ...
I should have picked this up when Amazon had it for like $20 (not sure if it's still at that price). I loved Folklore, so I'm hoping Game Republic's latest title pleases me.
Quick, someone contact Jesse Ventura. I smell a conspiracy.
It has to be. The trolling from the PS3 fanboys was terrible. They even trolled Forza 3 when the scores were below a 9. Calling it Flopza 3, etc.
Karma's a bitch PS3 fans.
It's kind of dumb that IGN listed FFXIII as the most disappointing game of 2010, yet they gave it an 8.9 (would have been a 9 under the new review system). FFXIV would have been a better choice.
"xbox360.ign.com hmm... suspicious but I'll go with it"
It's also listed on the PS3 section, so you can stop with your conspiracy theories.

It's disappointing after all the wait.
I agree with his main complaint: unlimited continues. It takes away the challenge and fun out of the game. Online is filled with spammers. Every game is like this:
