I actually buy every call of duty game, bought BLOPS2 Hardened edition in-fact, I just don't enjoy it as much as I used too because it has just become a repetitive series, don't jump to assumptions because you love CoD other people are allowed opinions too.
Edit: I actually gave a valid reason as to why I think they should cancel the series for a while, I think it's a good reason and time to see what they must compete with.
Hope they just cancel the game series.
See what the competition put up in the next few years on Next Gen & actually try to compete instead of putting out the same shit every year.
If next year the same game can come out on current gen & next gen it's really not worth buying, at all.
@Kingthrash
Really? A personal attack against my display picture.
How sad, really shows you sony fan boys know how to argue your side.
Pizza rolls? Never heard of them over here in the UK, must be some disgusting thing from where ever you live.
I'm actually a fully qualified electrician thanks, enjoy being petty trying to insult people about their looks.
@KingThrash
Do you believe in cars? They use batteries, do you believe in TV remotes? They use batteries, maybe all Cars should come in with non removable batteries because of course, this is 2013, maybe all TV remotes should be rechargeable?
Stop whining about stupid things like batteries, I mean honestly, it's utterly pathetic to even say batteries are a bad thing.
Over time rechargeable batteries lose the amount of charge they can hold, if anything... having this options allows for more time without recharging.
For games to compete they don't actually have to cost so much, you know.
I didn't specifically say GTA V. So that point is null, no saints row game has competed with any of the GTA's imo, not even Saints 3 could compete with GTA: SA.
Stop making assumptions that games must cost £9999999999999 to work, take a look at all the wildly and insanely popular indie games that out there.
Personally, I wish the series would take a break.
If they took a few years to make one of these games it has huge potential to compete with competitors like GTA & the like.
Instead of just fleshing out some unused DLC from Saints 3, make a new engine, update their graphic and create a better story line.
Hell, the games are fun but lacking anything substantial.
There was talk about Rainbow Six: Patriots @ E3 this year, so I don't think they've turned it into "The Division"
Shit man, can't wait for that games release, I pre ordered that ridiculously expensive version because I love Digital content haaaaa.
Actually, if you find the full announcement it states that there are no extra costs and if you have gold you're already set to go.
See here for the full announcement - http://majornelson.com/2013...
So unless Microsoft decide to change their policies, it wont cost extra.
Great news for people who share one console, my friend who sometimes can't afford gold comes round and plays my console so that'll be pretty good for him.
How can you prefer something if you haven't played this one?
Not even sure if it's F2P.
I know Drive Club + requires PS+ to download it.
Not sure if you need Gold to download this.
It's formalities anyway, most people wont buy and XB1 without a subscription, and I doubt many people will stick with PS4 without a subscription as you need it to play some games online.
This is pretty much the same as what Sony are doing with Drive Club plus version.
Anyone who is saying that MS is using this style as a cash-in service should also be saying it about Sony, don't be a hypocrite.
Who cares anyway?
You get a "full" free game, and choices as to whether you want all the content or not.
With the innovations with both consoles, I see this as an already exciting time.
XB1 - Kinect 2.0 with it's "innovation" and creativity, included DVR functions which are yet explored, Smartglass adding second screens for ease of use like maps and additional controlls.
PS4 - In game DVR functions, Cross Chat (It'll be nice to see how it's implemented), party chat, touch pad userface & Vita support for streaming games to it, also with...
To be honest, it shouldn't be down to the community to make a game great, it should be down to a modding community to make a great game greater, but that's just how I feel.
A discontinuation of the series until better story/gameplay mechanics are thought up and put into practice.
Don't get me wrong, I loved playing SR3 but it didn't do much, sure the Co-op was fun with a friend but again, it didn't do anything to wow me.
Instead of making half decent games, just take a break, work on a new IP if possible. Or think about a REALLY good story line and/or some new interesting mechanics.
Playstation 3 was more powerful than 360 and it never really showed.
Lets just see how this gen pans out before jumping in and saying it'll be better, because it might not be.
I'm pretty sure that's why they changed the input.
I THINK.
I heard their new connection has better sound codecs etc.
Also heard that it's using skypes talking stuff.
But it's always a lot of "I hear" with XB1 & Microsoft, but for the most part... It usually ends up true.
I meant in terms of quality not policy. As regards to "more thought through"
In my honest opinion.
I don't think any console will "fail".
They'll always be supported by their creators. (Sony, Microsoft & Nintendo)
Despite how much hate each console might receive from it's respective competitors fan bases, they'll all make a profit & everyone will enjoy which ever experience they decide to side with.
