Agreed. Profit = Turnover minus money Microsoft paid to have the games on the service. It’s definitely not 2 Billion.
What I’m interested in is how much were developers paid to have their product on GamePass and how much copies they actually sold after having their game placed on GamePass. That too in the case of multi platform games how many copies were sold on the PlayStation platforms. That would be very telling.

Nope we resuscitating the horse and shooting it again. They over promised and under delivered. They deliberately hid the state of the game on last generation consoles, the majority number of consoles in the wild at the time of release and you defending them. Also please remember a great number of the team who worked on the Witcher 3 has left. CDPR is a husk of themselves and I will wait for user reviews before buying anything from them.
Doesn’t mean they always successful. For every success like Overwatch or Fortnite you have Anthem, the Avengers, Fallout 76, Halo Infinite etc. Sony is hoping something will stick and Jim Ryan is hoping for something to take to validate his time at the helm.
What a waste. Sony needs to learn that’s not what we want. Rather use those studios and make us single player games. They don’t all have to be AAA quality but take some risks like the ps1 days.
