Everyone seemed to forget that PSP was successful and was the first time we had proper console type game experience.
DS did OK with touch controls, but I held back like most people thinking that there would have been a new gameboy line to compete with psp performancw wise. The redesign of ds was when the ds got a big boost in sales.
Not sure if they have confirmed or talked about it. But how many people can share play that one session?
Would be great if it was more than 1 person.
I think it really depends on what engine its running on.
Reading about deferred rendering and forward+ (or whatever it was called) made it seem like 1080p is pretty hard on xbone. Seems like the xbones ram bandwidth is the biggest problem.
Most likely will not see 1080p on multiplats unless ms helps out but exclusives should be a lot easier.
Also glad you don't write articles. Would be a pain to read something with no space =P
Its basically the calm before the storm at this stage. Waiting for the upcoming ganes to come out. These guys have no news so write bullshit and release the same article every 2-3 months.
Dream is to push 20 mil by 2014q4 financial year.
I mean Wii did 20 mil in a year and a big chunk of the sales were month 10-12 I think.
N64 did poor sales and xhina is not guaranteed.
Still the numbers are fantastic and its not relying on selling a gimmick like the wii diid.
Software wise just give it time. Ps3 also took a while and eith the cobtinued support ps3 got inbthe last few years its not surprising we have to wait a...
There's plenty of games. But if you talking about exclusives then not as many.
Its not like the exclusives are selling like crazy conpared to multiplats anyway.
So if this month had a 3 x boost compared to last month. Then wouldn't last month be a sign of slowing down?
Update:
@why o why
Sorry. Left out important points in my comment. Last big boost before this was in march when infamous and mgs came out. Sales dropped after that. So wouldn't it count as slowing down already?
The regular monthly sales are OK but its the big boosts that are really pushing the numbers.
was definitely confusion.
but the way they phrased it definitely sounded like a timed exclusive. it got blown out of proportion anyway, ms phrased it perfectly, fanboys just wanted to hate.
i honestly felt it was strange that a ps console didnt come out with a classic ridge racer. hopefully one would come out for ps4.
@killacal13
shenmue definitely on top of my list. but then its definitely the most unlikely.
damn you for mentioning shenmue. preparing for heartbreak already.
looks a lot different to how she looked like in the cg movies.
seems like they gave her more manly/tomboyish features
im seeing ads featuring sunset overdrive and forza horizon.etc ... seems to make the xbone seem interesting and maybe next month they will get good worldwide or atleast eu numbers.
ps4 is doing as crazy as ever. how close are they worldiwwide to how the wii was doing in its first year?
cant we all just say that the ps4 cannot handle unity at 1080p wihout more time worked on this, them understanding the engine more aswell as the consoles architecture.
there isnt a magical button which devs can press to maximise the efficiency of console architecture. also note that this is a multiplat game. it looks decent enough.
its safe to say that ubisoft is going for some sort of parity depending on what company is backing which game.
sony backed watch dogs. xbone version wasnt as good and pc version was gimped.
ms backs unity, xbone version and ps4 version identical.
a rumour floating around from an ubi developer mentions that sony/ms is trying to force ubisoft to cap pc versions of games to 30fps. not sure if i believe thsi though.
well, these are just purely for the sake of benchmark tests.
the gpu on these consoles seems to be a generation aboce the cpu so freeing up resources on the cpu would be a great advantage.
last gen the ps3 graphics card was in a sense pretty pathetic so the cell processor helped out a lot.
pretty good preview in a sense. i liked the idea that the writer kind of explained why it felt like it was going back to its roots.
finding keys instead of just going to the end of stage, no need to kill every zombie.
side note: onlive advertisement came up on the site. $9.95 per month to play over 250 games available. seems like a pretty good deal. psnow needs to take note.
it really depends on what sites you appreciate. i actually like review scores from gametrailers.
however 99% of the sites/blogcrap we get on n4g. i personally choose to ignore because i feel they are more biased towards their own agendas but others may love it.
its basically how much you trust the reviewer.
metacritic however shits on all reviews and basically puts an average on everyones score which makes no sense since scales are different....
did you read the article? author just complained about the store layout mainly. nothing else.
has there been any issues about fake codes so far? with that said, i like the idea that ms has qr codes.
@otaku
PSP definitely suffered a lot on attachment rate. Could have been more suxcesdul if crossbuy existed back then.
