notreally sure if this is what they are talking about, but game streaming can become very popular. it just needs to hit the market in the correct way.
can video games using streaming technology work similar to tv industry? how about providing the game dor free, just have to sit through ads like we do watching tv. have about an hour or 2 of content available every week or 2. if you missed it that week you can pay a price to catch up.

i dont know the technical details, but 3ds seems to be similar to a ps2 but has great shader tech to make everything look better. vita seems to be similar to xbox/wii.

the engine works for 3ds but that doesnt mean that the game will work perfectly. im guessing original had many corridoors with as little open spaces, enemies or wnvironmental objects around. it would probably take too much downgrading on the 3ds to make it look any decent or play decent.
no, it is capcom that got the franchise to where it needed to be to deserve and warrant a sequel.
nintendo was just lucky enough for capcom to release it on the 3ds. game was probably meant to be resident evil portable for psp.

i personally believe that a sequel should be based off current characters. its easier for a sequel to suceed because we build a connection with those characters.

very good point but you are still associaitng game length and price as mutually exclusive which it shouldn't really be. i may find a 10hr game more enjoyable than a 40hr game, we all percieve time as different, i could have spent that extra 30hr working or studying.

i know the whole world pretty much revolves around money, so it is a fair comparison but shouldnt be the be-all and end-all.
mgs games are very short in game time and i normally complete the game in one sitting. its dissapointing in the sense that i was anticipating for a game for so long only to finish it in a day but thats my own fault. i do however replay some of my favourite games over and over again.

this is talking about mgo the game that comes free with phantom pain which focuses on team pvp combat.
phantom pain online mode/ mother base thing is part of phantom pain and would be used for base invasions etc...

devs are just not used to working on a new platform. software efficiency also improves as the console gets older. engine techs improve.
if 5 people on screen was max at console launch that number could improve to 7/8 without much difficulties because of the software tech using the hardware to its full potential.
