i'd like to say that fps do sell well, but not everyone of them is succesful. the team that did timespkitters did haze and studio had to close down. crytek also seems to be having trouble at this time.

asian celebrities/idols are kind of looked at a different light compared to western celebrities. they are percieved more as angelic virgins and anything sexual in the personal life could threaten their career.

well, you dont really know how bad the game is yet. but these kpop idols/models attract the same type of demographic. if gamers are a fan of that certain idol they may look at the title of the game and then look at youtube clips to see if they any good. therefore being a sucesful campaign.
i would like to say that these promotions are not rare and some games like aion a mmorpg that was pretty decent before it went f2p had big kpop celebrities do some kind of live show/perform...

seems like watch dogs isnt really the same type of open world like gta, saints row, sleeping dogs.
i mean its similar, but its almost like comparing gta with infamous or the new gtaV.
just because it is open world does not mean its the same type of game to compare.
havent played gtav yet but didnt people prefer the graiv driving. gtav supposedly had simple driving mechanics.

towerfall ascension looks cool, shame its local multiplayer only. i doubt i would call 3 others round and buy 3 controllers to play this game. its probably a good idea on sonys end to give this game away to get others to buy control pads though :D

psnow price structure is ok. it now depends on what the demand for ps3 games will be on ps4 when the full version is available.

dq8 doesnt need a hd update.
vita and 3ds multiplat does make sense. but its hardly ever happened and i just lost faith in vita getting games i personally want.
why the hate on free to play. ive played a bunch of free to play games that are great.
i know that f2p gives advantages to paying customers. but is that a bad thing, as long as the free players are not screwed over big time than its ok.
however, free to play does kinda mean multiplayer which sucks. wish they would concentrate on a single player game with a decent storyline.

dq with 3ds graphics is good enough. no need to bump up dev cost and aim for ps4 then get compared graphically with some of the best looking games.

blockbusters needs to pay rent at expensive town centre prices. so just needs to pay rent for data centres.

psnow is streamed instantly, full game with dlc and no download, install, download more patches and install those patches waiting time. all us ps3 owners know how bad it can get, especially with 3rd party.
