It worked to a degree for MS but so did the year head start and lower price point. Those initiatives gave MS an 8 million plus unit lead over PS3 for several years.
The issue is that as PS3's list of 1st party exclusives grew and lower price point coupled with all of the offerings from PS+ the gap started to shrink.

I like looking at Leon from RE...remember the FMV cut scenes in part two...he looked better in part 4 and now in part 6 it's like WOW we have come so far in such a short amount of time.

Not only do mechanics get tweaked but graphics, balancing and even story elements. The only thing the demo's showed us is how the game controls and what kind of game space we can expect that's all.

You both are spot on after 2 decades of gaming and being apart of the online gaming community it's very clear that you are both spot on.

Played the demo on ps3 and it controls smooth so does the camera so i guess you should take your own advice play the demo.
Really i played both of thosr games when they came out and just the other day and they still arent smooth.
I'll feed a troll every now and then so here goes.
If RE6's controls are broken go back and play RE2 and RE4 like right now then come talk to me because I did this past weekend and guess what...their terrible in the controls department.
The controls were a chore to learn a decade plus ago and seem even more horrible now since developers have learned to play test their products so that they control smoothly.

I played both demos and loved all 3character campaign experiences. Before anyone says i dont know anything about the series or its roots ive bought every game day one and ive loved each game for different reasons.
Part 6 looks to be my fav next to part 2 and 4

Yeah Chris in part 5 was a bit much but thats the exception and not the rule considering that none of the other characters got that much of an upgrade. I can tell Capcom heard what we thought about Chris juicing which is why he is no longer that buff anymore.

Yeah in part one Issac was a noob but by the end he could handle himself. In part 2 he was already used to fighting necromorphs so he became a bad ass.
What you all seem to want to ignore is that when a game has reoccuring characters that are fighting the same type of enemies that they will naturally get better at beating that enemy.
You all want them to stay just as weak and pathetic...so just keep playing those titles. Its called character g...

-not all depictions of zombies are slow moving that just walking straight lines waiting to be shot.
-none of the RE games were ever scary just created moments of tension and different events trigger different forms of tension which affect everyone different. So what you dont appreciate others will so get used to it.
