Only one of these games has excellent gameplay to go along with its vibrant graphics at a rock solid 60fps = MarioKart.
Killzone = Very pretty very generic shooter.
Ryse = Awesome repeating character models with not so awesome repeating QTEs
Infamous = Gorgeous visuals with a stuttering framerate and repetitive short lived gameplay thats completely devoid of any challenge, basically made for children and casuals...
The PS4 is getting a similar update for its DX equivalent, I forgot what its called Sony Shader Model 9 or somthing? The performance gap might narrow a bit but both consoles will be improving even without the Kinect it isn't going to give Microsoft parity.
Agreed... Long time console only gamer as well until recently. Got a decent gaming rig hooked up to my 55" and love the flexibility of the PC platform. Playing Dark Souls 2 using mods Super Sampling 4K textures 60fps with all kinds of additional post processing visual effects and using my Wii U Pro controller to play. It's awesome. Also I have managed to figured out (was pain in the ass) how to use my Wii motes for any FPS I want. It's awesome...
Hardcore Sony fans are a silly bunch. The Uncharted series has a notorious history of showing cinematic trailers that always look moderately better than the finished product but Ponys can only see with fanboy goggles so they ignore the obvious.

Hopefully they unify the existing Virtual Consoles and have it carry over for the Next Gen as well and Nintendo keeps the trend of backwards compatibility (continue using PPC architecture)

Really the only advantage that the X1, PS4 have is convienence and hardware parity for online play but every other aspect is worse compared to PC and that's the truth. When the last generation of consoles launched they were state of the art machines the current gen machines are just streamlined entry level PCs for the masses riding on hype not hardware. If you own a gaming PC the X1 and PS4 become borderline pointless...
