I think if most people wake up to the fact that the PS4 and Xbone are simply streamlined low-mid range PCs that offer less for more $$$ in the long run (monthly fees + expensive games) than the Wii U has a good chance of coming out on top riding on its great lineup of exclusives. Likely it will become #2 just becoming the complimentary secondary console though because of its lack of third party support.
The best combo this generation is Wii U + PC hands down. You get the best of both worlds, superior exclusives for the Wii U and superior third party support for the PC. Sure you miss out on some mostly ok and a few good exclusives offered by Sony and Microsoft but I can live without those. If you own a decent gaming PC + Wii U the PS4 and Xbone become borderline pointless...

1. The laws of diminishing returns.
2. Sometimes limitations can bring about more creativity and vice versa.
3. Higher frames per second improve how games look and play whereas resolution and extra effects only makes games look better (immersion).

I have been cruising through various gaming and other sites steadily for well over 15 years now and I have observed that a substantial portion of Sony's vocal fanbase are among the most immature people on the Internet and they seem to posses the most double standards by far. So many of them act like spoiled entitled children on a very consistent basis most likely because they consist of exactly that.

Yes delay this game if needed, Im sure it has potential but in its current state it almost makes the Wii U look bad. Itagaki has made some awesome games so it should turn out great.
The Wii U was not designed with this in mind and probably would struggle if they tried to implement it now. Honestly this feature isn't that appealing for most gamers and Nintendo has always been more focused on people playing or watching together in the same space anyway.

It's amazing how Nintendo is able to make technically inferior games look superior. MarioKart 8 doesn't even use any aliasing during gameplay but because Nintendo has developed such a nice soft lighting engine they are almost able to get away with it. The replays use some form of aliasing and improve the image only slightly. It is possible the new Zelda is in 1080p they are using an improved version of the improved Wind Waker engine lol. The cell shadedish graphics have less detail than a realistic look which could make it possible, regardless the game will be stunning and will remain that way for years after its release like many Nintendo games.
