Why would a track racing simulation be open world?

The gameplay and visuals are stellar in this game for sure unfortunately I just can't see it selling well at all due to how bazaar it is. I think its great that it imbraces being completely over the top but the majority will be turned off by the music alone not to mention all the other strangeness going on. I sincerely hope I'm wrong though.
Looks like my comment really made medman a madmen. Only a very basic understanding of how the tech works plus a little common sense is needed to figure this out.
Sorry to burst all your bubbles but the PS4 is not capable enough for compelling VR and that is just the way it is. For VR to not be a disorientating or blocky mess it needs to be able to render dual 1080p 60fps feeds exactly 2X what the PS4 is capable of and that is just the strait facts. Feel free to waste your money though if this half assed thing ever comes to fruition.

Ubisoft sure say some really stupid things. Some devs prefer to make games with a higher degree of response and control than others example Nintendo.
Not a fan of the direction these first party Sony devs have been taking their games in so far this gen, basically spectacle>substance. What makes it infinitely worse is the rabid fanbase that will eat it up regardless.

Not everyone cares purely about therotical specs... All I ever wanted or expected from ports was parity with last gen but with all the HUD elements off the big screen and on the Gamepad. Most people only think of resolution and frame rates when discussing graphics I think having a cleared interface can be just as impactful. They showed some gameplay footage without any of the HUD graphics. I sure hope this means they have implemented an option to play the game with all the info that constantly pops up to only appear on the Gamepad. This would let gamers take in all the action on screen without the clutter and distractions.
Always good to have more options.

This is a totally different kind of racing game from project cars making your comment almost completely irrelevant. Game looks great though.
I know I'm getting off track here but I wouldn't get to excited about project Morpheus if I were you. 30fps VR will be disorientating not to mention the resolution is not high enough to be inches from your eyes. Sadly the PS4 isn't powerful enough, for compelling VR you need dual 1080p rendering at 60fps for VR to basically not suck and project Morpheus-PS4 is only capable of half that. Game looks awesome though cant wait to use my G27 racing wheel.
Personally I can't stand the idea of having to pay extra monthly fees for online especially on top of monthly internet bills, it just seems ridiculous to me. This is one of many reasons I game on PC and Wii U, best first party exclusives from Nintendo and the best versions of third party games on PC. Getting the best of both worlds from a smarter investment in the long run makes the most sense to me.
Muramasa is better on Dolphin internally rendering at 1080p using the Pro controller with a custom configuration enabling B as a jump button as well as up on the D-pad ;)

You are right even with all its efficiency they basically even out core for core each having different strengths. The 360 always uses one core for all the sound and music so there could be some truth into what I'm saying seeing as how all the next gen consoles have dedicated chips for that just like every other Nintendo console.
