Much like the Witcher was the RPGs, I hope this new Metro game is to shooters. The Metro series is a breath of fresh air that not nearly enough people have taken the opportunity to play.
This type of thing happens all the time. Usually folks get caught using the PC footage since most early footage tends to be running on a PC. Not sure there is much of a story here. EA is not about to release an inferior version of a game with that large of a user base.
Well you are talking 20% of sales from when it was released. So how many PS4's and PS4 pros have been sold since release? Now take compare lifetime PS4 sales vs PS4Pro sales, that would give you a more accurate picture of what actual percentage of PS4Pros are in the wild. 20% sounds like a lot, but its 20% of the sales since it was released, so I would like to see the proper percentage of PS4Pros vs Ps4 to see how much of a dent it has made in the sony ecosystem.
Ahh these clickbait opinion pieces :) Fail is an interesting term. What equals a fail? The 1X not eclipsing the 1's sales? The 1X not selling some arbitrary number? Look at how many PS4 pros are out in the wild. Now look at the tiny amount of PS4Pros out there by comparison.

Making an MMO is tough, making an MMO, on a console and having it be worth something....that is no small order. While this doesn't really appeal to me, I am happy to see Rare passionately working on something. I would love to see that lead to the creation of more quality games. Having said that, the game hasn't been released and who knows what micro-transactional shenanigans MS will inject in the game when it is released. Fingers crossed though!
I am curious about this one. I have it on the Rift in 3d and it does not really leverage 3d all that well. I mean it just seems like you are a lot closer to what is occurring in the game. Having said that, I would love to see more 3d platformers. Too bad nobody has the stones to make them outside of Kickstarter anymore.
Oh I agree with the price, I merely meant that right before Recore dropped they announced it was priced at 40 dollars. Almost as if they knew the game wasn't finished and would be regarded somewhat poorly. Recore was actually a cool game, just needed some polishing and to get rid of the ridiculous loading times.
This game was so ahead of its time, that the fact that it never caught on or evolved is kind of sad. The physics and play control were awesome and the story wasn't terrible. Certainly an original game from a play control perspective.
Yeah, even so, is the fact that this game is coming to MS first really that big of a deal? I have read multiple times that because of the OS, that porting from PC to X1 is pretty easy to do, certainly more so than from PC to PS4, so I am sure it was an easy choice for them. MS probably threw some money their way as well. Still no reason for anybody to get upset.
There is no way they could do the game or character justice and it would either create issues with feminists, by having her somehow defined by a relationship with a man, or trigger others if they decided to make her gay. The easiest way to go is the hero route, most great games with strong heroes do not have romance at all and are often stronger for it. Why dilute a great character in a great game unnecessarily? I am sure there is gobs of fan fiction out there already.
As a pre-order early adopter of the Vive and Occulus Rift, I am not sure he is entirely wrong. I don't buy into the system seller argument as much, but for the price of the console, I am not sure a large enough percentage of Sony's PS4 owners will take the plunge. On top of that you have the PS4 Pro, which is also something out there for current Ps4 owners. I have no doubt that PSVR for its price isn't bad, I just think it may be too high priced in the console marketplace to ever ...
This is a true statement. CNET reviewed the SONY OLED and basically said the LG has the same tech for cheaper and that you are basically paying what they called a "Sony tax" for buying the OLED from SONY. I will stick with my LG for now. Wish I had waited as my B6 that I paid 4k for was 2k a few months later.
Wow, that is a very solid month of free games. I can ditch my Until Dawn disc now and just enjoy the digital version!
While I absolutely agree with the sentiment, I am not sure Sony saying it is all that profound. Studios have been looking at the holiday logjam and starting to try new release dates, Sony is hardly the first to reach this conclusion. Even in Hollywood you see films moving away from the traditional windows and trying to capture the market with a release date with less comparable competition.
Are there people here actually upset about this? MS is getting first crack at the console version of a game that is still in Early Access? Is this really a threat to anybody? Agents of Mayhem may be cool, but it is a brand new game and quite frankly it is not as though everybody is talking about it. It has received some decent press thus far, but not on the Saints Row level and quite frankly it is not a Saints Row game. Crackdown 3 may end up being bad, but it will at least be the third entry of an established series. I think MS was so anxious about not having games at E3, that they showed Crackdown 3 even though it was not ready for prime time.
I envision two scenarios. First, that MS will delay release of Crackdown 3 to address technical issues and polish the game up, as they have few exclusives and if this tanks it will join the list of disappointing first party games. Second, the game gets bundled with the X1X and sold at the 30-40 price range, letting people know it will not be AAA. Either way we have to assume we will get an actual first look at a better build at TGS or gamescon. Whichever one MS goes to. Either that or a third...

I agree with you. This game is a call back to the days of quality, original single play FPS experiences. They don't make nearly enough anymore.
