I'm not going to put a disagree because its your opinion and well stated, but Ive never seen a cheater on xbox live. I've read psn users saying the same thing. These are very regulated services and quick to ban cheaters with a very easy to report system. On the pc, its much more wide open to cheating, but I've read some of latest games like cod 3 will ban cheaters.
It called the "hard mode setting". Its located on most every single game. Problem for rizzo-rizzo is that this setting is in english, so he won't notice it. Also, there are online modes to compete against other players, if you think your skills are so much better than all these 11-14 year olds.

Because these werent exclusive to Nintendo. Plus these games are more hardcore, so without the kiddie cult nostalgia (burp+giggle+squeek noises), they always been subject to a much harsher review.

There are varying levels of hacking and whenever you throw money at a problem (under good management plans), you will always have overall better results than a free system (economics 101).
The lastest Live hacks arent hacks. They are phishing scams. You could have Pentagon lvl security, but if people freely give out thier passwords to others, thier account will be compromised (not hacked).

I like alot of what you said, except about backwards compatibility on the 360 from the original xbox. Everyone one of my original xbox games played on the 360, except for Cell Damage. I read there were a few more niche games that werent bc, but idk it was happy with it at the time.
Assuming the P$4 isnt out for another 5 years (based on the 10 year plan), that seems like a very long time to make a sequel for such an AAA game like this.

Blu-ray has some great storage, but the read times are slow, that just doesnt seem adequate for next gen, even if u fork out a kings ransom for 100gb+ disks.

For gaming I sure hope MS doesnt do blu-ray. The storage capacity is second to none right now, however they are expensive and very slow for gaming. Obviously dvd is gunna die off, but hopefully something better will be out.
