"PS+! there is nothing else ON EARTH that gives you THAT many contents for a measly $50 a year, PERIOD!"
Not trying to start up a flame war, but just days ago and for several years strong, sony fans were so proud of free online. Funny how the tides have turned and they don't critize sony now over it.
Xbox have optional rechargeable battery packs or 3rd party rechargeable AA batteries. Vast upgrade from being forced into a sodered battery into a controller that you can never replace.
I thought sony fanboys were into the freedom of choice (aka swappable hard drives, etc) which sony fails bad on the controller batteries big time.
*I do like the bigger ps4 controller for comfort over the ps3 one.
$100 could be a difference to some. Idk Im on an adult income now so a one time $100 difference isn't a big factor. I could see how it would be for others like parents and teenagers.
*Funny how sony fans are suddenly ok with paying for online now on the ps4, when that was such a huge trolling thread for so many years now.
Except the red ring was given a 3 year warranty not 90 days. Other than that: A for effort on the troll. D for being ignorant on the execution.
I joke, I joke.
FYI I don't see either console having heat issues as they look chunky and shud have adequate cooling at the cost of being fugly.
At least now the trolls have less info to fapp out to.
1.) Both consoles are ugly as sin
2.) Paid online
3.) Specs are so similar it will come down to devs to see any difference (if ever).
4.) Both have a solid amount of exclusives
5.) No backwards compatible
6.) Both have blu-ray
DRM, Kinect, $100 price difference, and that touchpad still all suck, no joke. Trolls and fanboys really have their work cut out for them to ...
Intergrated batteries are a vast downgrade. That's what apple products use. I have a cousin with a ipod that is a few years old now with a batt that wont hold a charge and is worthless now because you have to pay an apple tech to change the battery.
Not being able to swap out rechargeable batteries is not good as they have a shelf life and do degrade in time meaning every few hundred charges they hold less and less. To the point of on average, 2 years later your batteries...
@wagnus
I agree with Kinect being forced on us, but I also feel the ps4 touch controller (to a lessor degree) is also being forced on us.
I don't want touch or move anything. Why is that so much to ask for?
Id never trade with friends. Im anal with my things and most people just throw things around and don't take care of it. A lesson I learned the hard way all too many times.
I don't see how WiiU is next gen when the specs are similar to 7-8 year old sony/ms tech. Like if someone were to tell me my gaming laptop is the latest and greatest when the components are 3-4 year old tech.
Idk just my opinion, but I don't see it. You can tell me a horse is brown and gimme your reasons why, but if it's a black horse it still is black to me.
No cpu is a slow laptop one from about 1-2 years ago (on the pc market). For example my gaming laptop from 1.5 years has a faster cpu but obviously cost a lot more ($1,500).
The cpu very fast say compared to last gen 7 years ago or compared to the WiiU.
Optimization will be it's saving grace.
Price tag wont drop. However, goodies such as bonus dlc, posters, or something like that could vary.
So to all the people saying the xbox one was ugly (which it is), the ps4 just rivialed them on the fugly scale. I mean really, who are these console desginers?
However, how is a console looks is a very minor grip, imo. Many more things are far more important. But seriously, damn why did the 2 next gen consoles have to get beat so thoroughly with the ugly stick?
A big draw to this console is that there a several great emulators to play all the last gen games (nes, snes, ps1, genesis, etc).
Plus all the cheesy, short cell phone games that you can shake a stick at from the android market (if you don't already have a smart phone). I could see this having some appeal for some people, just not a lot.
Controller prolly the best part of the whole system right now. They should have made a controller inspired console.
I don't buy by many used games, so I don't care about the drm. However, Im not so sure Im going to pay for online gaming this next generation like sony and ms are doing. That may be the nail in the coffin for me.
You are aware the computer your typing on released way before the Xbox right? Just thought Id provide an equally relevant Cliff Claven fact.
"only one negative people can fine is the PS+ requirement for online gaming"
Add 1 more negative to the list (very minor grip). The ps4 is ugly as sin. But so is xbox one. Neutral point there I suppose.
@Meerkat
Couldn't agree more. Especially with the controller part. However, it looks like the ps4 controller could be more comfy since its a bit bigger this time.
Hoperfully the ps4 has a 3rd party convertor like the ps3 did.

You auto get +1 bubble few times u post a pro-sony remark. It's sad but, true.
I'd say to all the superficial complainers here, if a customer cannot distinguish between the number 360 and One, there's far bigger problems.
Love the swappable hard drive feature. Hate the soldered in controller batteries which make zero sense. I'd never buy an apple phone for that very reason alone. Idk.
