I'd go more with they have a nice lead in momentum, but def notta a grand slam. You have to pay for online now, no BC, and the console design of both are way ugly.
Plus I don't like being forced with that weird touch pad, but then again, I dislike the forced Kinect a lot less.
"The option to lend friends games is the best one."
Ya if you want your games chewed by dogs, spilled pop all over it, stepped on etc. No ty.
But does kinda sux when you go to buy a used game.
I never loan my games because Im anal about keeping them in perfect shape and a lot of friends are careless with them.
But I could see how some people would like doing that and it does kind suck about drm for them.
@Orion
Your statement is only about 50% true (which is about the average for any good lie). Yes in fact you do own the game. DRM means when you go to buy a used game you have to pay a fee. Has no effect on when you initially buy a game new.
Last, your doom and gloom prediction over all the used game stores closing prolly isn't accurate either. There will just be an added fee used game stores will tack on top of the game ($1-5? idk what it will be) and wil...
Theres no such thing as stopping most things. (Like when you deadbolt that front door at house each night). The best you can do is make it more difficult for thieves, to the point that it's not worth the effort and they go steal from someone else.
JRPG's will all those trippy colors like your on acid and those whinny school girl cries? Ya that's why they don't sell in the U.S.
I would like to see mmorpg's. Rumors are the that Skyrim will be online for consoles.
my gaming laptop is 300% than the ps4 and my desktop even higher than that. In turns of real world, these are just superficial figures. Plus the gpu is far more important than the cpu for gaming.
Ps4 prolly gunna release in the mother country of Japan first like how Nintendo does.
"Could also mean the downclocking rumors maybe true or they are gonna ship faulty hardware again...i wonder which it'll be."
Wonder if the Blu-ray players will be jury rigged to burn up from sony. That would be a total diabolical plot.
I think they mean over the entire lifespan, not the last 3 years. Sales figures are just epeen bragging over threads, and mean very little to common folk like us.
TBH, you do realize the 360 was far more profitable from charging online fees right (to the tune of around 2 billion/year)? It's no wonder why sony took a page from MS playbook there and are requiring mandatory online fees with Ps4. Can't really blame them.
"2nd =/= Last"
This is why the education system is broken. Simple math would tell you that if there are 3 consoles, 3rd =/= last.
Sad face, very sad.
Sony will be running to the bank now with mandatory fees to play online.
In game micro transactions I bet.
Funny how the tides have turned. But the counter now is drm, if you buy a lot of used games.
Rubes always jump ship at the first sign of danger. It's like that with sports teams too.
I was all set to jump on board with ps4 if it was free online, but now I have to keep weighing the pros and cons until the launch vs pc gaming. Maybe drm with seal it, not sure yet.
It's cause 10 years ago, ms online was vastly superior and it wasn't even close. Now the last few years of ps online they are very similar. So I see that as the big difference back then.
Your liking paying for online? Please give me the same drink you just downed.
@ricochetmg
What about Sony people being mad about paid online? Are they not people with opinions that matter too?
I already have a recharge kit on other AA batteries I use around the house.
With your WiiU example it doesn't really make sense. You may be able to hack into the controller, but no store even sells those batteries to replace them with. So that's not even really practical.
Of course it is, they ditched the cell cpu. Also a lot of the reason why we see a $399 price (8 years later mind you, even slightly cheaper with inflation), instead of a $599 price. ftw!
