Wrong choice. This game barely needs a remake and still holds up well. Code Veronica is the one in desperate need of a remake and deserving of one.

I've noticed two versions of ps4 games when you download a game. Ps4 standard and ps5 enhanced. You can have either one. Iam cool with that. Alot of people still can't get a ps5 or even afford one. I also see a growing list of ps5 games so no harm done seems legit.

The system itself is already big. Ridiculously big. Whether standing or laying down it's just huge. Looks like a small spaceship.
Mid Gen upgrades is common practice now. These consoles are similar to a pc in that respect so yes it's coming.

Metacritic like everything else is just opinions. Does it give a general idea of what to expect from a game? Sure. Should it stop you from buying a game your interested in? No.
If i could only pick one I'd go with super metroid.
