I suppose this benefits gamers with a budget and lack of space for physical games and hardware. But for the rest of us who collect physicals as a hobby like myself I can't see the benefit in subscription to play retro games. I'd much rather own these pieces of history and know I could play them at anytime without need for internet and subscription.
The last two entries have limited prints with Pirates curse having the most limited copies of the shantae series that's why.

120 a yr to play games you don't own that can be taken away at anytime doesn't seem worth it to me. Owning the physical and the original hardware just seems like much less of a headache and long term wise the most cost effective.
Details are everything in a game. The smallest detail enhances immersion. As soon as the character approaches a door in redfall and I saw it just magically pop open instead of holding the gun in one hand and grabbing the knob with the other they lost me. The cartoon graphics looks dated and doesn't fit the kind of terror it looks like vampires like this should evoke. Just looks lazy and last gen.
I found these Microsoft exclusives to be very underwhelming. Quality next Gen just wasn't there for me. Redfall was extremely mediocre. Most games just looked like woke pandering garbage. That fortnite overwatch graphical style is annoyingly spreading to alot of games as if it's something great when it's not. Only scorn, Benedict. Wo long, and maybe cautiously Diablo 4 looked interesting to me. Looks like my wallet won't hurt much for the next two years.
