Being open world just for the sake of it does nothing to make the game fun. A lot of open world games are filled with vast amounts of nothing with fetch quests used to force you to go to various places they've copied and pasted.

The term used here can be due to the filter they are using over the game (can't remember what its called) to make the game look like a film, and the cinematic black bars on the screen. All they've talked about is the presentation so far, I don't know why people are jumping to conclusion...

On a personal level, I agree but if you look at how MS has been advertising the system, they've been showing us the voice related features and facial recognition for signing in, the ways Kinect data can be used in games (your heart beat etc), the snap feature, skype, video editing etc
Its an integral part of the X1 feature set. Without it, the system is a weaker version of the PS4 that would have to cost at least $50 less than the PS4 to make sense to buyers

Yeah but you only needed VC for MyTeam and the online connected version of MyPlayer
If you start a MyPlayer offline you use skill points and can play it normally without VC
I think he meant to say that the X1 mission adds whole new gameplay mechanics to the the bonus mission; being able to use Raiden's abilities and all. Whereas the PS4 mission involves just a character skin with the new mission
But you could still play the game
Tbh I'm getting the PS4 version but I'd rather play a mission as Raiden then as classic Snake
