well reviews sometimes give insight into a game that you cannot gather from simply watching videos and guessing how it plays. a video may look great but some part of the controls may be broken beyond playability. a reviewer would certainly point this out and that may influence your decision to purchase it. it may also have HUGE load times or require a large install. there are some things that you cannot guess at based on watching a video.
