dumbed down is not the correct term to use here. that would mean the ps3 version started out better and was then reduced in quality. "not optimized" would fit better. activision does not optimize their code to run properly on the ps3 architecture to take advantage of its spus and shared ram system. im sure they do some optimization, but just enough to leave it below the xbox version.

well you are trying to figure out why there is autosteer when sitting and not while standing. look at it from a different perspective. high hands vs low hands. high hands, such as a tall adult vs low hands , such as those of a child. perhaps they add some steering assist for younger players? if your 5 year old is pulling 8/8 instead of 3/8 (or not being able to finish at all, slowing down the experience)they may get discouraged and grow up to hate games. that is not good for a family fun nigh...
