All of sudden the strength of their 1st party games doesn't matter and all the Doritos/Mountain Dew COD fans are a threat? That' what they spewed for years. Same as the fans. Now that the paradigm tips with a different approach they are scared and blocking however they can instead of being truly innovative. Who cares about PSVR and haptic controllers when you are late to the "gaming as a service" market and hating on competitor deals when you're the market leader. Weak s...

If one company says another companies technology is "too disruptive" usually that means the disruptor is on to something that needs disrupting or else there'd be no threat or discussion. Make us proud Phil. Ya gots work ta do.

Just release those new games you spent so much money on and you'll see an increase. Consumers want consistency.

Fuggin haters bro. Typical however for the brand loyalists tho

They are definitely worried. COD fans are loyal and will buy an Xbox just to keep their seasonal stats going. Not a big CoD player for years now but I get how lucrative it is. MS may lose hundreds of millions at first but it will easily be made up tenfold by rapid user cross over as well as micro transactions justified by not paying for the actual game via GP. That $60 you save on each game now can be reallocated to higher margin items such a as skins etc. that boost the real profitability.

Suck it up buttercup. If the shoe were on the other foot you’d have MS sell their child to get support from Sony. Stick to your exclusives since that’s your golden egg.

Why is Xbox even mentioned here? This is purely a Sony article.

I’m telling you, they need the money. This is a smart move.

Lol. Nice try.

Simple: Sony needs the money. They are bleeding. That’s why first party games are now on PC. Soon GP PC mark my words.

Unlike MS, Sony didn’t have the pockets for the long game when supply dries up and first games are several hundred million dollars each with a large but limited market place. They cannibalize themselves with great games that are costly and need variety so have to spend big for diverse offerings to a fragmented gamer interest.

MS can play...
