Because its a middle of the road game in a see of middle of the road games. Nothing special and often more pain than it's worth. Had high hopes but they quickly dashed. Looks great/plays good/ missing heart so to speak (pun intended)

Almost there with you but I think the difference is Halo was already perceived as breaking prior so the expectation was a bit lower. This is a new IP and it needs to go right for XB.

I mean…pretty obvious. A better model might be paying a monthly subscription and then buying games at a steep discount. Say $9.99 per game with a $14 per month fee with still an assortment of free AA to AAA games
