there was one bit in GTA San Andreas, where you lock a guy in a portaloo drop it in a hole and fill the hole with cement, burying him alive.
now that's cold.

but when they have an embargo that doesn't lift until after launch, then how are buyers supposed to know what a lie the presentations are.

the only people who have it before launch are review sites and they can't show it until after launch because of the bloody embargoes.

the whole embargo thing publishers have going on these days hardly inspires trust.
making sure no reviews get out before launch implies they have something to hide.

Yorda from Ico.
so bloody useless.
you have to hand hold her through the entire bloody game.

then there's the adoring fan from Oblivion.

you fight your way to becoming champion in the arena, and your reward is to have that wally following you around.
still, he is fun to kill. ^_^

Lydia, from Skyrim, is kind of annoying, she's great at carrying stuff, and she's pretty resilient, she goes down, but always get...

i would have thought the lack of multiplayer in the game would be worth mentioning.
i guess not.

and who makes a poker game and doesn't include any multiplayer options anyway?
oh right, Telltale games.

wasn't their last game the awful Real Steel tie in?

people complain about how awful movies based on games are, but that works both ways, games based on movies are almost always terrible.

who wants to bet this is just like Real Steel, a wrestling game reskinned with the movie characters.
or in this case with the Jeagers and Kaiju.

lets just say, hopes are not high for this one.

still, at least the movie should be f...

probably one of the biggest reasons for piracy, other than people not wanting to pay, is availability.

if the publisher doesn't make the content available through any legitimate means, people will use other, less legitimate, ways to get it.

not saying that excuses it, but if they make it legally available where people want it, that would go a long way to reducing piracy.

it's never justified, but some companies don't do themselves any favours.

when they have drm that means the pirates can be playing the game and legitimate buyers are stuck because of shitty servers going down and their single player games not working without them.

and when dvds have half a dozen bloody trailers at the beginning.
and then you get the obligatory anti piracy video, if i bought the bloody dvd, you don't need to tell me not to...

100% wrong pwn, no, 1000% wrong.

you buy preowned, you know the developer got paid for it.
you know the developer got what they were legally entitled to.
with piracy, the copy you buy/download, you know they never got paid.

only mindless sheep fall for the industry propaganda that preowned is anything at all like piracy.

none of the money i spend on a preowned title goes to the developer true, but they have no right to any of ...

Wipeout would be cool.

how about Gravity Rush, not a big title, but just imagine the visuals a movie version could have.

how about Heavenly Sword?
that would make a great fantasy epic in the vein of LOTR.

and i would love to see Ghibli make a full length movie of Ni No Kuni.

ideally they'll continue with the current setup.
online play being free but have a second tier, like Plus, that actually gives you content for your money.

and honestly, that's what i expect they will do.

even if they tried charging for online play, i think they'd find a lot of resistance to the idea from their fans.
a lot would just pay but many wouldn't, free online play is something most PS users have come to expect.

some of the things they said back in the early days of the 360, and what they actually did.

"feedback is more important than motion controls"
they then launched kinect, where you get no physical feedback.

"it's a games console"
now it seems to be a media centre that also plays some games, of course all the media apps are kept behind a gold wall, pay ms a sub to pay somebody else a sub, i still can't understand how p...

the games industry weathered the worldwide recession better than most other industries.
but now it's finally started to bite even them, they're going after one area of the industry that's been there since the beginning, the preowned market.

preowned has always been big business, and it's not now suddenly causing studios to shut down, the state of the world economy is, but they can't do anything about that, and being more efficient with their invest...

games only have the sale of the game?
really?

no dlc?
no guide books?
no tie in novels and comics?
no movies/tv series?
no merchandise?
clothing/action figures/replicas of in game weapons or items?

no, games have no other revenue streams.

WOW, 9 whole rams, that's 8 more than one, that's like thousands.

i'm disappointed though, they went with the harder drive instead of the harderer drive.

and why would they make it always, sometimes online, maybe.
everybody knows maybe, sometimes, always, possibly online is the way to go.

and solar powered?
i live in the uk, that would never work here.
except when it does, which wouldn't be when it does...

if true, then it's a no buy from me, simple as that.

but i don't think ms are dumb enough to do something like that.
they're greedy enough, sure, but i'd hope they would have the sense to see how unpopular something like this would be.

i agree, i think Inafune leaving pissed them off and they're getting back at him by neglecting one of his most famous creations, Megaman.
mind you, ignoring the character isn't the worst thing they could do to Megaman, look at what they did to him in Street Fighter X Tekken.

i can't help but feel this Duck Tales remake they're bringing out is them trying to replace Megaman, they want a classic platformer, but they don't want Megaman.
