the 360 isn't crippled by the size of dvds, but that limitation is becoming a hinderance.
mass effect 2 needed 2 disc, but it wasn't a big problem there because you only had to swap twice on the way to finishing the game, games like forza though show how it's limiting, with the tracks spread over more than one disc there's no end to the amount of times you might have to swap, and a sandbox game like gta will always come up against this size limitaion as swapping in that kind of game wou...
they keep claiming this will stop piracy and and wont piss off users, delusions on both counts.
in fact i believe this will cause more piracy than it will ever stop, especially as the drm will be broken in no time and pirate copies will be downloadable from day one if not sooner.
i'm not interested in pirate games, but i sure as hell won't be subsidising this kind of rubbish.
and i am a huge fan of the settlers games, i'd rather go without.
looking forward to a third saints row, sr2 is one of my most played games on ps3.

i keep hearing from these guys about so many things that were too much work to put in the game, like female agents and now whole game modes.
is that supposed to make us want the game more?

he's pretty much describing free to play MMOs.
if you're a casual player or can only play a few hours a week it won't cost you anything, but hardcore players will end up buying items for their characters.
there are good and bad sides to the argument.

if they're desire for ever more money starts to alienate fans then they're just getting greedy, but i guess it was inevitable once they joined up with activision.
it was bad enough when they used to hype games, but now every company has to hype their announcements about games as well now, i can't be the only person who finds it getting a little irritating now.
makes me glad i was never a big fan of the cod series in the first place.
but i hope they do do this and they sink millions into it and it fails miserably and kotick is shown the door.
i don't know if it would be at all practicle for ms to add bluray to the 360 for games, though there would be no problem with a drive for movies, simply because you'd exclude the millions of 360 owners without the drive.
they could release an add on drive but then there would be such a small number of user who had the drive that it wouldn't be worth publishers time and money to support it.
maybe they could launch bluray equipped 360s and bluray add ons first, just for movies then ...
