if they want to even the playing field between casuals and hardcore, although they're always gonna be playing separately if every other mmo on the planet is any indication, then have something like wow's rest mechanic, give xp bonuses to players who are offline more, don't punish players who actually want to play your game.

i buy plenty of games preowned, do i have any guilt over that? hell no, i know the publisher got paid for that copy, in all likelihood they also benefited when it was traded in by the original owner probably to part fund the buying of a new game.

if they want to make it easier for casual players then maybe they should adopt a system like wow's rest mechanic, where time spent offline counts as resting and the longer you're offline the longer you get to play in a rested state when you play again, while rested you get double xp.
making it easier for casuals seems a much better way of doing it than making it harder for the more dedicated player.

hardcore players? even the most casual player is likely to hit that limit before the week is up.
and it says switching classes won't affect the time limit, it's actually per character, not per class.
so you'll be forced to buy extra character slots to make continued play worthwhile.
unless i'm a lot worse at maths than i thought 8 hours a week is just over an hour a day.
and now it's per character? so changing job or class wont reset it? you get one character slot and have to buy more by the way.
i really hope they're not planning on charging people for playing this.
