This really is a mind blowing event. For people who never played much of the first game I can understand why they might not think it's a huge deal, but those of us who are aware of how tight knit & talented the community is for this game, it's nothing short of epic. I personally never made or touched the level creator in LBP but I always had a blast playing other peoples creations. I cannot wait for this game.

Yea I hear you, but it's actually kinda smart to release some info now, because if gaming journalists are smart they are going to take this game/story and run with it. Think of all the possibilities. This game alone is gonna put tons of focus on sony prior to E3 and now sony is in a position to steal some major thunder from microsoft. All sony needs to do is keep their other info on lockdown and E3 this year for sony will be one of the best ever.
This game looks absolutely insane. I cannot wait to see what the online community does with this game, the GAMES they create are going to be incredible.

yea i definitely agree, the advertising behind it was crazy. Demos at stores, I hadn't seen that in years. I haven't bought my copy but I plan to eventually, i'm just extremely busy with work and trying to finish FFXIII, Fragile & Resonance of Fate.

I was thinking alan wake was going to be the game that would make me buy a 360, I was extremely excited to play the game. I never let reviews sway me but when I found out that the game is just more or less a third person shooter I was extremely let down. I still wanna play it but I don't plan on getting a 360 anymore for it.

Last year a lot of sites overlooked the fact that microsoft was showcasing rock band 2 like it was an exclusive. OMG Ringo was on stage. Who cares? It was all smoke and mirrors imo.
it's funny, I was just thinking about that last night. How Jack Tretton announced FFXIV and the very next day every site was commenting on how it was a timed exclusive. How many times has this happened with the 360 timed exclusives and most sites don't find it newsworthy. Gaming journalism has been on the decline this entire generation.
yea I think sony and nintendo's show are going to be top notch. All nintendo has to do is show footage of the new zelda game and the internet will go wild. Sony has so many games that they could show off, it's gonna be so awesome. I really hope they show killzone 3, I can't imagine how good that game is gonna look.

not trying to knock the game but i'm curious to see what monster hunter has sold in america, considering the game is hugely popular in japan but not so much in america.
it would be really cool to see nintendo start a completely revamped online service. I'm not a huge online gamer but I know alot of people on the wii want a better setup. It really is necessary too in this day and age. More and more games are being focused on online MP rather than story driven single player, which is a shame imo.
Everything that you like and don't like about online gaming is available on the 360 and ps3. You don't ever have to join clans and you can mute online players if you don't want to hear them. Also, the only interruption is a small dialog box in the corner that lets you know you have a message. Best of all is that it's free on the ps3.
what's not to love?
The fact that well over half of the psp's software library isn't available for go owners. Games are more expensive. Certain games on the PSN don't function correctly with the go. Namely, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories. Silent Hill: Origins was broken at first but Konami eventually fixed it after 3 months or so.
All the psp go has done is made life easier for regular psp owners. They have the option of buying UMD...
The problem is that SONY doesn't support the thing. I realize that they don't own the rights to every psp game, but if you're a company that decides to make a digital version of a handheld you should be prepared to have waves of titles available for it.
That wasn't and hasn't been the case. Week after week the psp store updates are an absolute joke.
I have a psp go and it's the most worthless system/handheld I've ever owned.
The thing is a complete joke, you have no idea how frustrating it is to own a handheld and to not be able to play game that YOU want to play for it. Instead, SONY ignores the thing and release nothing of value week after week.
The pspgo is the worst handheld ever made imo and should be avoided at all costs.
