Good god what a horrible update. No PSX classics, the only psp game for us psp go owners is groovin' blocks.... Also, the ps+ perks have been GARBAGE so far. I don't want **cking avatars and themes every week, I love the fact too that the discounted games are old titles that no one wants. I swear to god, sony does not know how to properly support anything they start. It's like wtf happened after the ps2 gen? They consistently take dumps on their core consumers and it's annoyin...
ps+ has been pretty worthless so far. I'm a subscriber and so far all i've gotten is avatars, themes and discounts on games no one wants.
how awesome.
yea, i don't really know the backstory for alan wake's development but I bought a 360 for the game. I enjoyed the game but it is extremely straight forward and pretty short.
i never hear my ps3 & the only time i hear my wii is when it's loading. My 360 on the other hand is loud as hell but i have 5.1 so i rarely notice it.
They should've had the battle in the beginning of Super Mario RPG, When mario jumps off the chandelier he goes up for like 30 seconds, it's actually kinda funny.
The battle at the end of Mario Sunshine was pretty cool as well.
Yea, they talked about this on the gamescoop podcast.
Reviews shouldn't matter to people who game on a regular basis. I've played so many games that when a game is extremely mediocre I can still find it to be worth playing if the story is somewhat interesting. I.e. Lair, Alone in the Dark, Clive Barker's Jericho, etc.
Plus, some reviews are just downright garbage and go to the extremes. Like Ryan Clements & his review of White Knight Chronicle...
The psp and ds are where all the turnbased rpgs are hiding out. Production costs are much cheaper for handheld platforms. To name a few you should look into.
PSP
Crimson Gem Saga (awesome classic turnbased style, it feels like you're playing a classic snes rpg but with better graphics, it cartoon style)
Brave Story: New Traveller (this is really easy though)
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable (this game is freaking am...
I beg to differ. The majority of the titles they've put out this gen have been final fantasy spinoffs for the wii and ds, and those have been more action/adventure oriented. Also, look at dissidia for the psp.
Arguably their best franchise, Dragon Quest, has been developed by level-5 for the last few years.
Turn based jrpgs are the only rpgs I enjoy playing.
I know lots of americans prefer more action oriented rpg's like fallout3, mass effect & oblivion but those shouldn't be compared to jrpgs. It's apples and oranges.
I haven't cared about anything square has to say in a long time. They've pretty much turned into a joke. The best companies around for jrpgs are Atlus, X-Seed, NIS & Level-5. Atlus and NIS know what their fanbase enjoy ...
"Seriously what games actually made the Ps3 amazing that have been out more then 2 years?"
Valkyria Chronicles
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Resistance: Fall of Man
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (goty)
Folklore
Little Big Planet (goty)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (goty)
Now please, I'd like to see a list of amazing TRUE exclusives that have come out for the 360 in t...
I agree.
There's no denying that they're a talented studio but they really need to focus on game design and not graphics. The conduit sucked cause the levels and gauntlet style spawn points were awful. I think the second will be better but they realllllly need to focus on level layouts and story.
omg, i didn't watch the microsoft press conference so I missed out on that gem.
For the life of me, I cannot understand why some people are excited for kinect. It looks so insanely stupid and broken.
yes, they are in denial. Kinect is one of the dumbest things i've ever seen for videogames and my first systems were an intellivision and atari 7800.
While I don't think motion control is the best way to play games, it does have it's advantages. I'll be getting the playstation move because sorcery looks really cool and it's basically gonna be a wiimote, which I don't necessarily care for, but at the end of the day, it's proven tech that works. Kine...
I think kinect is gonna be a complete failure for microsoft.
The live game demos look awful and the majority of them are smoke and mirrors. What happened to the futuristic AI featured in Milo that not even NASA could come up with???? Instead you get big cats. Awesome..., but eye pet is still stupid right?
The reason the wii did so well was because there was nothing else like it on the market and it all came together in one box for cheaper than the other 2 ava...
It is a difficult game. I have OCD when it comes to level grinding in jrpgs so I didn't have too much trouble with the first boss, but it is a really tough game. I've been playing jrpgs since i was 5 and when I first played Resonance of Fate I literally said out loud during my first battle, "What the hell? I have no idea what is going on right now..."
lol, empty bucket.
this game looks cool
The psp go is a effing joke. Sony didn't just drop the ball, they tripped over their feet at the 5 yard line and smashed their teeth on a rock in the field.
The support for it is beyond horrendous. Every week the store gets updated and maybe once a month I see roughly 1 game (usually from atlus) that is worth downloading.
There's nothing worse than owning a handheld and seeing all kinds of games inside stores, THAT YOU CANNOT PLAY. It's so frustra...
You could play at the same time in the snes version, there were two modes, "contest" & "team." Contest was tag team like you mentioned but team let both players play at the same time.
Folklore, Siren: Blood Curse & Resonance of Fate.
it's sold out.
