It's cultural differences and it's the same reason that jrps sell to a niche crowd in the states and why shooters don't sell nearly as well in Asian markets.
So again, what's the point of this article? This has been common knowledge since the late 1990's.
The wii doesn't need existing multiplatform games. What they need are 3rd and 1st parties to make games worth playing.

I think kinect is going to tank hard. I imagine something along the lines of what happened to the virtual boy. A handful of fun games but ultimately an extremely worthless peripheral.

i played and didn't finish mario galaxy 2. I only got about 20 stars. I like the game but I hate motion controls. If there was an option to play it with the classic controller I wouldn't be able to put the game down. I really hope nintendos next console doesn't force motion controls in its games.

Yea, i just picked up a 360 and plan on buying this game sometime soon. Everything I've heard about Lost Odyssey really makes me want to play it.
I hope one of them is a sequel to 'Last Rebellion'

The majority of the people who play games on the iphone or ipad are not console gamers. Some of them are, yes, but it's mostly a different audience from that of the big 3 in videogames.
Also, if people think cost is a factor in this, the Ipad costs most more than the 3 consoles available in stores.
Game consoles aren't going anywhere. Nintendo showed this gen that it is very possible to make boat loads of cash with a home console. Microsoft and Sony want in on such a thing.

I can't comment about a patch or anything because I haven't played the game in a while but when I did play it I didn't notice any bugs or any problems with glitches or anything.
Instead of trashing a game just because it's no longer exclusive to the wii (in japan) why not be happy ...

Also, Nintendo is not anywhere near to having what happened to Sega happen to them.
Sega dug their own grave by releasing the 32x, Sega CD, the Nomad and then they talked about making the Neptune. They confused consumers and they also didn't properly support the Sega CD or the 32x, not to mention both of those platforms were garbage. The 3DS looks awesome but I fail to see how Nintendo had an amazing E3 show. Besides the 3DS they did what Microsoft and Sony have been doing for years. The reason everyone blew up over Nintendo's E3 conference is because for the last 3 years Nintendo's conference has been garbage and this year they finally showed some games. That to me doesn't constitute Nintendo blowing everyone else away, what it shows to me is that they finally pulled their head out of their ass.
yea i think it's too early too. To me it seems like the wii is finally getting started with releasing great games on a regular basis rather than 1 every other year. I cannot wait for xenoblade, the last story, DKC: Returns, etc.
It's actually one of the better items on club nintendo. Most of the stuff on there is pretty useless but at the same time they're pretty cool because they're exclusive to the store and you can't buy them, you can only get them from buying nintendo games and racking up points. It's good for collectors like myself.

I ordered mine a few weeks ago when I was redeeming the points I had earned. I got the Zelda poster set, which is awesome, and the black wiimote case, it hasn't arrived yet though. I also made platinum status which nets me the mario figurines which look awesome as can be.

Let's be honest here, god of war 3 is a good game but it's just more of the same. Also, the story isn't all that great in the gow series and kratos as a character is awful. There's nothing to like about him, all he does is scream and kill everyone is sight. He's the equivalent of vin diesel for videogames.
