@Moon. It is great and some of the South Park style commentary on modern society still very much applies. Much of it more than when the game first premiered. I can still burn up hours having fun.
I did and I will. And you are welcome not to do so. Your money and time is yours. Unlike some people I have no issue with how others feel about this situation. It is when they get on some high horse to dictate that I take offense.
Maybe for you. I disagree. Unreal doesn't have the wet plastic it used to but it still bears similarities in use across games for me. I think people do not bother move away from much of the stock engine enough to differentiate it.
And really check your Spam folder. Several people at the Steam Deck reddit posted trying to figure out why Valve refunded their deposit without warning. Except it wasn't without warning. Turns out after they checked they came back and posted the email went in their Spam folder and when they didn't act in 72 hours, instant refund.
Go over to the official reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/St... Plenty of helpful people and some video guides over there too. Be careful, one guy thought he could just do it on his own and now has a dead deck. Look for some of the capable people and their guides. Several users are running 1tb decks now with no issues.
Not so sure about the article. After the emails went out yesterday, Lawrence Yang tweeted this:
https://twitter.com/lawrenc... My 512 arrived in the first wave. Some of the most fun I have had with a new piece of tech.
It is $10 on PlayStation. I owned the previous versions (PS3/PS4) but both on disc. Digitally it coast me $9.99 plus tax and no disc required. Yeah I bought it again and have been playing it. Some of these self appointed life coaches want to tell you what to buy or how to spend your money, smh.
The issue though seems to be what has always plagued Unreal engine titles. Similarity in appearance. Not a good thing when you are aiming for uniqueness.
I think they just want to make sure it is as close to perfect before they release it.
Also today there is this:
"While undocumented, the latest system update of 22.01-05.00.00 on the PS5 has enabled ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) support, as verified using an LG C9 & a Sony X900H. ALLM automatically switches (or locks, in Sony TVs' case) the display into Game Mode."
Skyrim was announced at the Spike Awards in December with the 11-11-11 launch date. But that was 2010. Game development has changed in certain ways since then and launch dates mean far less than they used to. Raiden is correct. The Starfield announcement was used to appease gamers. It has become a marketing tool as much as anything. I am still not entirely sure it is going to hit the fall date. A lot of people swear that it will and can downvote away but these same people swore that HALO Infi...
It is indeed and it shouldn't be the least discussed. I got my 512 in the first wave and since then all of my PC gaming time and some of my console time has been on this. It doesn't feel like a PC at all. Even tinkering with things from proton layers to other software resembles nothing else. The use of the Discover app and flatpaks makes a lot of non-game software a breeze. But it is the gaming itself that is completely and wholly unique. Playing certain titles with the gyro aiming in...
Because review scores that are amalgamated at metacritic are not just numbers on a site. metacritic scores are used by corporations worldwide. In this instance metacritic scores affect developer bonuses, which speaks to motivation, willingness to perform at a better level, staying with said company, etc. Metacritic also affects sales. That said some companies will actually ignore sales in favor of scores and the general press on a game. This means it impacts sequels, DLC, levels of support......
All you have to do is look at that site's history. It is why I blocked them at the host file level. Never getting click from me again. A couple of scores is one thing but after a certain point...when I see an animal that walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, I call that animal a duck.
I wonder too. I grew up on PC decades ago. Then I got my first PS1. There is just something magic about PlayStation. A lot of cynical people will say, oh they are just a corporation that takes your money. Yeah corporations do that. And I get that mentality because it is the easy herd path. But Shu Yoshida is an example of the people that are still around and I love the approach the company has that the others do not take. I still get amped for all sorts of gaming. ...
I won't be at 200 hours to plat. I said OVER 200 ha ha. and you know I will only be sad when I complete it. Its like Days Gone in that regard. Just hoping we get a DLC announcement soon as well.
@Teflon. The one difference there is, and I love R&C, is they knew the setting. Some of that could actually be cached. With Horizon, you could be going to anywhere on the map that you have unlocked
Same here. I haven't checked in a while - last time I was a level 30 something and I am not even a third of the way through the main story. I spend my time exploring. I only gave up on that wandering because on 2 different occasions I had to do a certain story mission to open up the rest of the map. Still an area or two locked because I am roving, obsessed with creating jobs to upgrade weapons, and gathering greenshine and the like.
Been such a blast so far. Ultra fast loads on fast travels. I am still going to have over 200 hrs in this game by the time I platinum it. Can't wait to see what this game's version of The Frozen Wilds will be, what it adds and all.
Yesterday Hermen Hulst tweeted he was back at PlayStation HQ. There is Clawstrider in the pics"
