I hardly think there is a controversy to using what the public will perceive as a monster for a shield. They are far over reaching the importance of such a feature. Plenty of games have used human models for shields and nothing was said. This article is tripe and unworthy of having been posted here.
Gears of War 2 is also far less important than it's predecessor considering there will be heavy competition this time and no unopposed release that was enjoyed the first time which ...
The largest glaring error is his claim on reload mechanics. Obviously he never played the first Killzone or he would realize COD4 ripped off Killzone for reload mechanics. Also dumbass Tom, the weapon sight is based on an Eotech. COD4 didn't invent the thing, it really exists.
Look at this comment:
"The targeting wasn't quite as smooth as other console shooters at first. When the demo began, I found the analog stick controls to be far too sensitive for my ta...
This writer is full of crap. If they had really played the first Killzone then they would realize COD4 ripped of Killzone reload mechanics, not the other way around.
@ The Sad Truth: Remember those words when you start to get disagrees and you lose bubbles....
I am not saying you are necessarily wrong. But karma is like that. Besides, people are just posting their opinion about others opinions. Which is what you are doing.
I will say the same thing I said before. I judge my faith in a site's reviews based on what they had to say in their previews. Look at IGN.
Their prior 3 previews showed a writer speaking of the people at the preview playing and noting great features. If a game gets a 4.5, it obviously has some major issues. Where were these flaws in the preview? Obviously a writer was fairly incompetent that they could not note or detect such grand game killing issues. And do not say a differe...
If you think the Mass Effect elevator simulator with it's dead lifeless planets is a great RPG then you haven't played any great ones at all. Seriously, that upchuck mobile is fun? Those planets that are like burned out cinders with one small little building entrance on the surface are part of a great RPG?
Are you saying the fact that most characters in the game do not even acknowledge you exist is the mark of a great RPG? The game deserved a 6 at most.
I wouldn't say it is damage control. My problem with IGN isn't the review, but rather the previews. Go back and look at IGN's recent 3 previews. See anything but signs of people having fun? See anyone mention an annoying issue?
If a game is a 4.5 and the issues are that prominent then they ought to show up in a preview somewhere...someplace.
They moved enoough product to sell out. And later in the evening the site fiunctioned better. There were several warnings that this would be a very limited run. It will be interesting to see if they completely stop preorders of this item at some point.
It isn't just last gen fans. A lot of people like me that are launch owners bought as well. 4 people on my friends list did the purchase last night. 3 others tried and couldn't get through.
I love it. Konami is laughing all the way to the bank. Sony is glowing. People are burying the server to buy a PS3 and get a copy of the game. No one seems to be realizing what a great sign this is. EVERYBODY WANTS IT. It is going to do some serious damage to hardware sales worldwide. I woul...
Part of the issue IS free radical. Seriously, Doak needs a slapping. Who takes the game's biggest secret and blabs about it a year before release. Idiot.
Guys IGN gave Haze a 4.5 out of 10. This game will nbot score well from anyone. That said, players will get the game and they will love it thus furthering the rift between gamers and critics.
That is a splendid way of looking at matters. It just goes to show you this thing is going to clobber everything sales.
And think about this - what went down today will be tallied for the week of June 12th. This Konami sale alone will likely beat the 360 in sales for the week in the U.S. without including other retail.
The insurance was a glitch. I got up that point and didn't buy. I backed up using the back button (not the browser back arrow) and then when I got to my shopping cart I went forward normally and viola! $620.98 - no insurance charge. At least this one won't be broken right out of the box like my HALO Edition 360's play and charge kit which was dead brand new.
No, Ogrekiller that is not entirely correct. The government, under pressure from the military sided with the Axis powers. It is like saying the Americans sided with George Bush or they sided with Bill Clinton. Except in the case of the Japanese it wasn't even their decision through popular vote as to who was running th country. They were even less empowered.
Out of the ashes rose the Japanese people and companies like Sony.
I believe you called it a misguided attempt at humor, did you not? You called him a ps3fanboy, did you not? Yes that was a kneejerk on your part. You are the one that came off like a reactionary fanboy. You can give uo trying to paint over the sign you posted.
You may misidentify babysitting as it is something you often need but that was not my action. Sorry, try again.
