Clearly there's a click-bait title here, but the chat support was pretty bad. You just need to pick up the phone when chat support gets you no where.
Care to point out where I said DRM didn't exist? Sorry, but I didn't. I just said they reversed some policies, which is true.
There were 2 major DRM policies that MS planned to implement, that they backed off on. These were 2 of the major things people blasted them for.
1) 24 hour checkiin. If your Xbone couldn't "check-in" every 24 hours, you could not play any games.
2) Used Games - They were going to force you to charge ...
Sorry, but I simply don't get this Phil Spencer savior talk concerning the Xbox.
His reversal of certain things (DRM, forced Kinect) were no brainers after the backlash they received. You really can't call him a genius for that.
What exactly has he done for Xbox other than that?
A timed Tomb Raider exclusive?
Massive discount during holiday?
At this point, they are still getting trounced nearly 2-to-1 world...
Divo you left out many things in your attempt to make it look too expensive.
- Increased level cap
- a 4th mission for the Urn of Sacrifice
- an extra strike exclusive to PS4
- 3 new crucible maps
- new weapons
- new gear
- new sparrow
40 HOURS?! TOO LONG! 2/10! /SARCASM
Taking advantage of stupid people isn't a scam. You are getting exactly what you paid for.
I'm not buying the "it was free" excuse. It was a feature you knew you were going to get when purchasing the full game. So, in that sense it wasn't free. It was just a delayed part of the original game.
If it was something new and unannounced that they decided to do for free after the fact, then maybe you could use that excuse.
Do we need an article everytime Microsoft's Marketing team says something great about their games?
Nothing revealed in article other than there is an update coming. No details. Don't waste your time.
Agreed. Like Dewitt said, if people would explain it this way... you can't argue against it.
Similar with the PIX tool. It doesn't make the Xbone any stronger, but it does make it easier for the developer to get the best out of the system. Which will mean better games and less time developing.
As Dark pointed out. Software can help overcome a bad developer. PS3 still had the best looking games by great developers, there's no arguing that.
The PIX thing is misleading as well. There isn't some flat out 15% increase. All PIX does is show you different results when you use the eSRAM in different ways.
So, if you don't know how to use eSRAM.... PIX may show you how to it differently and you could get a boost.
However, if you are already a good developer and know how to make proper use of eSRAM... it isn't going to boost anything by 15%.
lol @ people thinking software can overcome a large hardware gap
All the article did was talk about how Halo 5 stole some skills from Destiny classes and gave them all to your character in Halo.
It was not a conference focused around Xbox. It was mostly about Windows. Yes, there was some Xbox things included.
Here's the press release: http://news.xbox.com/2015/0...
Sorry, you're the ones grasping for straws.
Spencer said up to 20%, which means from 0-20%. Xbox one could be 1 or 2% or more or less.
Wow that article update. Quite a big mistake there. MS fanboys were jizzing their pants for no reason.
I don't think that's how it works.
If a guy tried to join an all-female clan, he'd probably be called a pervert and all kinds of other things.
Sage, that is a different Phil....
