@knushwood I’ll tell you… often times businesses offer that “better treatment” to just about anyone that walks through the door. It’s how they earn new regular customers in a world chock full of choices

This. And what does this say to the people that genuinely can’t afford to pick up every Sony release on day one? But just wait, the serial defenders are coming….

Nice, the previews have been positive. Might give this a try

This will be my last on this topic but….

@Nyxus, I hear your point. From your perspective I can see how it might not affect you at this point. The point I am trying to make however is that Sony seems content with taking as much advantage as possible of their users. They cut costs for themselves and then increase costs for end users. Much of what they’ve done this generation so far has not been gamer friendly. They make amazing games, I practically get every Sony exclusive m...

@Nyxus, why does Nintendo already selling their console at a profit make it ok for Sony to raise prices when no one else is? Historically, consoles become cheaper to manufacture and cheaper to buy because of the cost reductions noted in the article. If inflation and all the rest are harming us all, why did Sony decide to pass this cost along to their gamers, the same gamers they claim to care so much for when they want something - ie. to prevent the Xbox ABK deal? At some point there has to b...

Before we bend over backwards to defend Sony on this, just remember that they are the MARKET LEADER here and neither Nintendo nor Xbox similarly raised their prices. Especially relevant on the Xbox side as the PS5 and S/X architectures are so similar…. So with all the defenses made for Sony, please also ask why they had to do it and no one else did.

Yea, I like the dual sense. I think Sony did a really great job with this controller. It just feels good in my hands, chunkier than the PS4 controller and wider than the Xbox controller. The only reason I still prefer the Xbox controller is the offset sticks. The haptics are really nice, but I forget they are there after a while of playing. I’m hoping one of Sonys studios implements it really well in the future. And Xbox absolutely should copy this feature. Maybe mid gen refresh the controlle...

Lol I remember feeling similarly when each of those games came out. I remember being so disappointed that they removed levitation in favor of level design in oblivion instead of maybe adding no levitation zones as the result of a spell or something. It’s never been back, but I return to Morrowind regularly!

This is amazing... If Bethesda released this as a remake I would buy Morrowind a fourth time. The was my first open world game and to this day is my favorite elder scrolls ever!

@tacoboto that’s all guesses. That 2.5 number is from 7 months ago. And how a PS exclusive indicative of what an Xbox gamer would do? Elden Ring sold millions on Xbox, heck that’s the console I bought it for and my PS5 works just fine.

Which makes sense. If the game sold to 15% of each consoles install base that would naturally result in it selling more on PS5. Does that 15% on Xbox still mean millions in the bank for devs? Hell yea! So why not? What was your point in bringing up, “it sells less”

Yikes! A cancer???? Damn…. This must be one of those Deadpool cancers

Lol don’t even bother, this guy is running out of room to explain his blind fanboyism. Out here cheering because some gamers won’t be able to play a game, using terms like “we” and “us” for his console war club. @apocolyse, some people can just turn off their Xbox and turn on their PS5… no one cares which plastic box you sacrificed your first born for lol

Who’s “you guys”? I’m a PlayStation gamer as well. That’s the issue here my friend. Look at this through the lens of a gamer and not a console warrior. Who cares if Phil paid for it or not? Won’t paying for it put it in front of people who wouldn’t normally play it? Isn’t that a good strategy to get it to sell on Xbox more? What would you recommend instead?

1238d ago 4 agree4 disagreeView comment

@apocalypse….. so if it weren’t on game pass you’re saying it would be on Xbox at all? You have a source? Or are you the “trust me bro” guy

“Nioh isn’t known to Xbox gamers” …….

What??? Lol what??? Do you think all Xbox gamers are some monolith with just a single console? There is a ton of overlap between Nintendo, MS & Sony outside of internet console warriors.

Crazy how you just outlined Sonys main approach trying to Stan for them lol

Interested in this one. Rooting for it to do well as I love fantasy…. Can’t wait to see how it turns out

Agree with everything you said except them being more open. Technically, they only just recently announced this game is real, whether or not we believe the game was always coming. Do they have an obligation to keep us posted on their work this early on? Or at any point? It should be up to the devs what they share and when they share it IMO. As fans we hunger for more info always but that’s what makes the reveals so exciting. Anyhow I hear your point, just see different

1240d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Sucks that Rockstar wasn’t able to polish something up and show it in a first reveal. This either means we’ll get a rushed first official look to re-grab control of the narrative or the first look is even further out not dissimilar to how FromSoft handled leaks. Either way, hoping for a great experience in the final product. Lighting looks good early on
