Right there with you. Our twins are 14 and game now. I just play when I have time and the ones that take time, I come back to them and play them for a while. Then I may play games not as lengthy until I have more time.
I do because I play some of them for years. It took me three to complete Wild Hunt and Hearts of Stone. I'm still playing Blood and Wine and loving it! I have no issue with taking my time with Open World games.
Shorter games I finish in shorter times. Longer games longer. It's really simple.

Really, really can't wait to play this!!!! Just love the subject matter and time periods. Ancestors made me watch Walking with Prehistoric Beasts again. Great series and I can't wait to dive into the world our ancestors inhabited.

I want to be excited for this. Hell I've talked about being hyped up for RAGE 2 since it was announced on here but after playing Just Cause 4 and seeing what Generation Zero turned out to be(another damn Avalanche game I was so hyped for) I've cooled off some.
I loved JC2 and enjoyed JC3 and Mad Max but Avalanche's QA lately is questionable. I'm just hoping most of their talent has been working on Rage 2 and the B team worked on JC4 and GZ!
I love Sekiro but Bloodborne's Lovecraftian atmosphere, characters and settings get the win for me. But it's great cause we get them both!!!!
I get the same kinda feeling about Days Gone that I got with HZD and that's a good feeling! There were loads of "concerned " pieces about HZD as well, whether they were "concerned " with its story, animation or the appeal of Aloy and when the game released those "concerns" dissipated in short order!
I imagine the Days Gone's "concerns" will do the same and it'll see similar success to that of HZD.

I see your point but that's not why this "scrutiny " happens , in most cases and that's what I'm speaking to. Also I've been gaming for 34 years and this "standard " for exclusives was basically nonexistent. There was none of this for Metroid, DK County, FFVII, RE, Knights of the Old Republic, MGS4 etc but for some reason exclusives especially PlayStation exclusives seem to get a shit ton of "concerned " articles nowadays.

World Wide Studios are in great shape and really create incredible experiences and I can't wait to get my hands on some of the games coming! With all the creativity that goes on and what comes out of that creativity it's win win.
Yeah I find I have way more patience now than I did as a teen. I play when I can. It's not going anywhere and I've got a ton in my backlog. I just chip away and I don't get every new release except when I want to support a dev or it's a Spider-Man, GOW, HZD, Sekiro etc. Days Gone will be my next.
