I hope Days Gone sales a shit load! All the freaking hate and standards that were levied against it that other third party titles get passes on really pisses me off!
Is it a masterpiece?!?! Hell now but neither are a lot of games but it's fun and it looks and play good. To be honest I'm glad a company is actually funding games like it in a sea of looter shooters and MP online focused games, I'm glad games like Days Gone are here and that it's selling well.

It's fuc*ing fun and its not more generic than AC Odyssey or Shadow of War. It looks great, plays great, has a detailed game world and again, it's fun.
As for hype, what hype?!?! This game has been shit on since jump street! My parameters aren't that a game has to be as good as TLOU, GOW or whatever, it just needs to be fun and if it reaches those levels, great but again every game doesn't have to reinvent the wheel!

Yeah the infrastructure just isn't there and it won't be for a long time. GI did s piece on the Stadia presentation, that demoed Doom Eternal and there was lag, not game breaking but lag . In a game like that where reflexes matter, it's not good. ALso that was a "best case" controlled environment not out in the wild either.

Yeah a lot of the complaints thrown at Days Gone I've experienced in AC Odyssey among others. In fact playing it right now so I'm not hating on it but there is a double standard on display here.

I think some companies want the industry to change and get away from traditional consoles but the infrastructure just isn't there yet. The goal post analogy works well here.

Yeah I don't put much stock in reviews especially numberd ones but a 1 or 3 should be an unplayable mess and this isn't that.
I think it's been put down so much there was a preconceived notion that some were going to stick with no matter what.
Knew this game would polarize but it shouldn't. If you are tired of open world games, you probably shouldn't play it. It sounds about what I expected, even down to how some reviews would go. I love these types of games! I've put 100's of hours in Wild Hunt, Phantom Pain, HZD, AC Origins/Odyssey and had varying degrees of enjoyment but I enjoyed them all.
I still go back to them. I completed main game on Wild Hunt, HZD and Origins. Im still playing Odyssey and tonight I'll go with Days Gone.
